Can we agree this isn't a good look for Rutgers and the RAC?

This is what it looked like going INTO the RAC on Sunday for the 4500 folks who went to see the women play Maryland.

(and the one's leading up to the RAC weren't any better)..I don't think there had been a major event there for days. But that shouldn't even matter. Its stuff like this that reflects so poorly. Especially to visiting fans. (yeah, I've sent it into operations). Go ahead and beat me up but I try to have pride in my school. How much does that cost?

And, based on the final score, that's what it also must have looked like on the court during the game.

yeah, I knew I set that comment up...didn't take long. With that stunning Avatar I would hope you would agree.

I agree its a bad look. But likely the fault of a "low on the totem pole" employee. So unless the AD or assistant AD saw it for themselves, I can't get on them for it.
Of course. How would they know. I'm sure they enter backside and don't inspect.

Now operations? A supervisor? That's a different story. I should add walking thru the lot we were greeted by a young student working who greeted us and said "enjoy the game". That was really nice. That was impressive.

So I pose this as what we need more of and less of.

Honestly, had there been plastic trash bags left outside my wife and I would have emptied the cans.

1984, you are right--no good reason that I can think of that these weren't emptied before the game. The only event I know of at The RAC this weekend was the Rutgers gymnastics win over State Penn on Saturday. I swear if Rutgers provides the paint and a ladder, I am willing to re-paint the first 50 feet of the front myself.

I do agree 100%. I just couldn't resist, as I'm a smart ass at heart.

That is on the building operations manager...used to be that Kokoskie guy,no clue who is in charge now. Really no excuse.

Another operations problem of late is the failure to police the RAC green lot before games. It is almost full with non-RAC goers way before game time leaving too few spots for those of us who paid for a green lot pass.

Given the number if long time fans..I would bet you could get quite a few volunteers to help with stuff like that. General value added stuff to help out. I'd gladly sign up to help.

Sure, clean up the garbage cans but DO NOT touch the inside. It is perfect

no loc shill ,but you are still an a$$hole, complaining malcontent-get a life

who did I "scold" for pointing out overfilled trash cans??-- I admit, I pointed out what an unhappy, malcontent you are--you are right on schedule being an a$$hole ,affirming my opinion

well that rendition isnt going to happen but yes more walking path, more trees, that stupid uphill incline needs to changed and evened out

will it or will it be punted again?

I applaud you for bringing it up

I spent a year as an undergrad at a SUNY(mother had an illness I needed to be close to home)
we had a similar trash problem...we staged a sit in.....picked up the trash on our own as students in protest
----------------------SUNY fixed the problem..------------------------------

Ha! Could have been worse though, looks like #11 Stanford welcomed Oregon, ranked 8 spots higher, and lost by... [double checks notes] 40

The same thing has been happening to me the last few games too. I don’t understand what the point of a green lot is if you allow non-green passholders to park there before the games. It used to be, these lots were closed on game day after a certain time and they would tow anyone who left her car there. Why do they not still do that? Has anyone else contacted the administration about this problem?

Send an email in to the AD with the picture

that shouldnt happen...no excuse for it.

male or female?
D or above for me. If you see a garbage can that's full, take the garbage to your car. Same for when you're at the beach. No excuse for not taking out the trash but I guess overspill can happen, but not before an event.

rut--be careful, attacking the slobs that help to cause the mess is not politically correct around here--take a look around Manhattan, people dump their crap indiscriminately with poor aim by the way , feeding the rats and wonder why the rats hang around those trash cans--hey, and I'm not saying don't empty the trash for any loser who needs to accuse me of defending trash

to be clear. we arrived with about half the crowd already there. And it was not just those 2 but most of them I saw. This wasn't caused by the folks entering the RAC but was pretty much there WHEN folks arrived.

I don't disagree but nobody entering the RAC is going to walk back to their cars to toss a empty cup. The don't do it for the 50+ water bottles I saw confiscated at the security tables.

This wasn't people's fault. It was on Rutgers Operations.

Email them again. Or better yet, put a phone call through.

I always try to target the most appropriate folks at the correct level, I.e. not bother Hobbs with it. That leaves room to take it up higher if needed. Trust me. I care about making sure this is acknowledged and addressed.

My biggest concern is they just think it 1 fan bitching and moaning, which would be even more concerning.

Sarah always responds to my emails. Try her again.

In like 2008 when I was a student I sent an email to a bunch of people about that temporary construction fence that divided that divided the two parking lots. People —especially seniors—would wander around looking for a gap that wasn’t even marked. Also, there were parking spots Right on either side of that gap! How no one got hit I have no idea.

Anyway they fixed it (kinda) by blocking off those spots and sticking up an orange flag. Still bitter I never got so much as a thank you email from anybody.

There are a lot who arrive an hour before the game and there are also students parking there. Actually we arrive 2hrs before and go to Henry's to eat.

No doubt, but there are MANY cars with no parking pass and students should not be allowed to park there on a game night. It’s a real problem when you pay for premium parking and there’s no spot available.

The students live in the dorms right there. Where should they park?
