That's not what I would call best possible result for Leonte because it (anger management) still will leave questions in some peoples minds. It is probably the fastest positive result tho.

great, I bet you RU wont reinstate him until after the classes..
Hope I'm wrong!!!

Great. Suit up, Leonte! And next time someone tells you not to leave the Hale Center, you don't leave the Hale Center. Got it?

I hope he is reinstated for his own sake - this should never have happened. I wonder if the charges against the ex-hostess are still pending.

The anger management is a joke. Sounds like the victims lawyer trying to save face and insisted that be included that in the agreement.

RU needs to reinstate immediately, what are they waiting for?

Now, can we dispense with the catfight nonsense?

I'd be pleasantly surprised if he gets reinstated.

Yeah - in reading the article it said at the end Rutgers attorneys were present but did not comment after the proceedings. It makes me think that reinstatement won't be as straightforward as we hope though hope I am wrong and reading too much into it.

if I'm flood I reinstate him--what the heck many have him fired already--he has nothing to lose

"The Edison native must attend six hours of court-ordered anger management counseling, a standard protocol for domestic violence allegations. Carroo stipulated to probable cause and thus is not eligible to file a civil suit, according to his criminal attorney, Peter Gilbreth."

These sound like legal wranglings "we will drop the charges if you agree not to sue us"

Rutgers just announced:

We are aware that Leonte Carroo had the charges against him dropped. President Barchi has just announced that he has formed to committee to hire a Law firm to investigate whether the suspension should be lifted. The process is expected to take 6-8 weeks.

he's cleared-but only in the minds of those who wanted him guilty does anything else matter

Which process will take 6-8 weeks: a) Barchi selecting the committee, b) the committee choosing a law firm or c) the Law firm investigation?

only at RU is this even a remote possibility...any other P5 team has a car waiting for him outside the courthouse and bringing him to watch game films tonight
Because we've proven recently we are unwilling to break rules to get players to play... Oh wait

I'll be more than surprised. This unfortunately is not the clear cut decision some are making it out to be. The Anger Management thing is the 500 pound gorilla.

Would I reinstate him? Probably. Will Rutgers? Not so sure. I'd put it at less than 50/50.

It also depends on what happened and what Carroo did or didn't do.

Just because charges were dropped doesn't mean he didn't do something wrong.

I believe you've said this several times. It's as wrong as saying he didn't do anything wrong. You don't know so all we can do is accept the decision. Anything else is unfair.

What I will say about all this if he indeed had done something, anything remotely close to the original charges, there is no way on God's green earth he wouldn't be going to trial in November.

So you want to keep investigating?

You do realize he was already suspended for two games, and the charges have been dropped. But in your mind he still may have done something wrong. Ok, even if you want to try him again, you do realize he has already served a 2 game suspension right? Is that not enough to cover your additional witch hunt? When is enough enough?

Anger Management is standard procedure for anyone ACCUSED of DV in NJ, this is not a finding of any guilt, just part of the DV process, even for people found not guilty

He did do something wrong, but I am OK with the two games suspending being enough if he is totally cleared.

Good for him but this will likely not change much to end the other on and off the field problems we have.

yup keep pushing the problems--we haven't heard it enough--good news is so disapointing.

Thanks for correcting me on that. Makes me lean more toward reinstatement.

What did he do wrong?

Get involved in a fight directly outside the football facility after a game. That does not represent RU well. You have a scholarship here, you need discretion.

His position is he didn't get in a fight...he pulled his girlfriend off and out of the fight.

How was he "IINVOLVED" other than picking up his girlfriend and running away from the scene? There is nothing wrong with that. The clip of the fight bears shows him doing just that.
