I don't quite understand what I'm seeing. I get it when Curry and Thompson are raining 3's that the Warrior are a tough match up for anyone, but that's not happening here. Cavs are giving time and space to guys who can't really create their own shot. LeBron can seeming score at will when he gets the ball in 5 or 6 different sets, but no way will the Cavs fully commit to a one-man offense. Cavs can get embarrassed here. Kyrie is not pressing anything. Deli looks like he doesn't even know that guy who was wearing his jersey last year. If I'm coaching the Cavs. I set goal of LeBron taking 50 shots in the next game with or without K Love in the line up.

The cavs will lose because of kyries overdribbling. If you are iso point guard, your team is doomed.

I haven't watched an NBA game in years. I turned on the finals game. It was guys just chucking up 3s from anywhere, unwatchable.

I cannot stand the NBA at this time. At one time I loved it but not now. It is to me unwatchable.

I disagree, the NBA is fun to watch again--I grew up with Showtime, etc. Give me this over the 90s epitomized by the grinding of Riley and Knicks. My fav team, the Nets, were fun with Kidd running the point.

What we need to admit is the following:
--Irving and Love have hurt the Cavs more than helped--this didn't happen last year because they were replaced by more defensive players and they had to play a certain style
--Cavs are a product of the pathetic East--I agree their best way to win is to slow it down, give to LeBron and go--but they fancized themselves in matching up with the Warriors on offense
--And most importantly, Warriors are much better than last year as a team--they were caught up in the Finals. We have to realize that OKC is the 2nd best team; OKC played out its minds true, but Cavs are 4-5 seed in the West, battling the Clips, behind the Warriors/OKC/Spurs. OKC would be up 2-0 over Cleveland.
--Cavs hot shooting in East hid their weaknesses. They need that hot shooting from 3 to beat Atlanta close in a few games. They tied Toronto 2-2, who was the worst 2 seed I've seen.

LeBron should be playing the 4 and Tristan the 5--but they don't have an athletic 3. They got Frye instead.

Cavs will put up their stand early in game 3, but watch Curry and Thompson have big games and this will be a sweep--as it should be, and lay to rest that Cleveland would ahve won last year if they had Irving and Love. These finals will hurt their trade value. Wiggins would have been so much better for them at the 2/3 than Love.

A few things:
1) LeBron is a superstar. But not superstar enough to take over a game single-handedly. I have never seen him get stopped at the hoop as he was last night..Semi-contested threes--he can have them all night.
2) Warriors offense is unlike anything I've seen before. Brilliant and beautiful to watch--a new game.
3) GS is capable of outscoring you 12-0 in two minutes--and will a couple of times during a game. Cavs would have to get very luck to have a spurt like that and it would have to come off TOs;
4) If players other than Curry and Thompson continue to shoot as they have, it's a done deal. GS easy--lucky if Cavs can push it to 5;
5) Just as a hoops fan, more than hoping for a close game, I'm looking for a near perfect game from GS--would love to see it.I think they're capable of a 130 pt game.

The Warriors have gotten better since last year but the Cavs have also slipped. LeBron is no doubt one of the best players in the NBA, but a lot of his advantage is built on his strength. It seems he needs to pick and choose his players around him and his only to championships were when he had a player comparable in talent (Dwyane Wade). IMO, Wade and Bosh of 2 years ago > than Irving and Love now.

I also don't think LeBron's Miami team ever had to face a team as good as the Warriors in the finals..or the current Thunder...or the current Spurs...for that matter. It may be tough for him to in another in the near future.
I don't like LeBron. He knew he couldn't win another championship in Miami so he moved back to Cleveland. LeBron acted like he moved back for the love of CLEVELAND but he saw he had a better chance with them, they had like 4-5 players that were the top 1-2 picks in the entire draft their year. LeBron said that the warrior has a better bench but the salary is spread among the player and Curry is the fourth best paid player on the team. LeBron makes 22 million so they can not afford a better bench. Don't get me wrong, he's real smart to let fans believe he came back to Cleveland for the city.

GS if they keep the team together should have the best dynasty in basketball. Needs 7 championships to be crowned the best.

Celts in the 60s will have the best dynasty.

That said, GS is the future until the rules change again.

I think Curry will ultimately prove to be too fragile for the Warriors to become a dynasty.

Lebron might be the best player in the NBA but Kyrie Irving ain't Dwayne Wade and Kevin Love isn't Chris Bosh.

They are basically a lock for back to back championshps with Curry winning back to back MVPs.....

Almost a dynasty already

LeBron needs a dominant shooting guard. He had that in Wade... he doesn't have that in Smith. This is a guard's league, now - Curry/Thompson are in a much better position to succeed than James/Love.

Lebron nearly beat GS by himself last year.

Warriors last year didn't play well at all in first 3 games...was their first finals...they adjusted after game 3 and then punished Cavs, winning the last 3 to take the series--none that close. They have won 7 in a row against Cavs and beat them by over 30 in Cleveland earlier this season. Now look, Splash brothers haven't done much and first 2 games were the biggest combined blowouts in NBA Finals history.

Warriors won't disband due to $$$$...Curry and Thompson and Draymon are under contract for a while, Iggy, Barnes and Bogut will be FAs in the next season or so...Iggy is getting older, I'd like to see them replace Bogut with Adams of OKC who IMO is perfect for them. Players will want to play with them...Warriors need to shore up interior (Adams would help a lot) but competitive threats are Spurs (if they sign Conley or trade for a younger good PG), Clips (if healthy and get a better bench), and OKC (need consistent 3rd scorer--closest to GSW).

If Durant decides he want rings more than the money then what ?

Not that he wouldn't be well paid by GS but he'll be offered stupid money elsewhere.

When he was at Duke, Kyrie Irving visited the RAC and sat next to my wife and me in Sec. 102. He was there to see one of our players from North Carolina, whose name escapes me now, play for Rutgers. Kyrie was very friendly with the player and his family. Kyrie was very gracious about signing autographs for young fans during breaks in the action.

Yeah Starks and Ewing era-------toss in Anthony Mason and Oakley---------vintage hoops.
