He roots for Penn State I believe.
His oldest son Evan attended BC. His daughter Jessica attends/ed Dook. He was on TV at a Dook game looking lost about a year or two ago.
He roots for Penn State I believe.
Sat right next to me at the second game he attended. Was pretty cool, checking his phone much of the time and hanging with his three buddies and laughing. Pretty sure he's friends with Myles Mack's family.
James Bailey (got to speak with him--super nice guy).
Karl-Anthony Towns (got to speak with him, especially since he was there with his dad and his dad and I knew each other from high school).
Alan Houston (spoke briefly with him, as he was there scouting the guard from tOSU a couple of years ago and he was near my seats--really nice guy).
This post... I feel like you are someone who would truly understand me. Thanks for being on my wavelength.
Tex Cobb used to stand on the Temple sidelines for quite a few games, one of them being the monsoon game.
That was the Texas game when Chris came in and got sacked and I am not sure Phil was there but his family was. I was at that tailgate and he was not given that space, the Market Basket got there early with a big truck and took the front corner.Phil was given a huge area in the front of the yellow lot. It was roped off to reserve for his group. At least his kid got in the game. Too bad he was quickly shalacked by the defense (Ryan Neil? I forget).
Adam Duritz also made it to football and women's basketball games.

They were at least given a pass and allowed to set up many banquet tables with food warmers, etc, for their buffet. Whether it was them or their caterers arriving first is semantics. The game Colbert was referring to was the Louisville game where Teel went off. Matt was behind Teel at Bosco and on that day he got to see Teel play his best game ever. I don't think Matt got in but he hung around the NFL longer than Chris did I believe. Chris had the serious spleen injury.
If you don't mind me asking, which restaurant?Waited on Bill Belichick and family after a RU game at a restaurant in Piscataway. Ran into Doug Flutie in the elevator at the Rogers Center after the International Bowl. Flutie was tanked.
See Keith Hamilton at the games almost every week.
Chris Christie on a Thursday night right after he was elected. I think it was the USF game that made us bowl eligible. It was on the buffet line. Also met the cast of the Apprentice when they did a challenge in one of the lots prior to a game.
There was light rain, but it wasn't bitterly cold (for a December night game). On second thought I remember the weather being very mild when Teel threw for 7 TD's even though it was early December. Maybe it got cold late in the game?
That game was actually his debut. A decent portion of the crowd had left because of the weather. I wasn't paying much attention during a TV timeout and all of a sudden the stadium just got louder and louder. It took me awhile to look at the big screen and see him.Did Lil' Jovi perform on this day?
Why doesn't the administration try to get Bruce to show up to stuff? Seems like having the most prominent new jerseyan take a picture with our team wearing Rutgers gear would be a great piece of marketing.
It was a large group from North Jersey, most of which came to see Simms but there were a handful of former RU players at the tailgate. That is where they got the parking pass. They were at least given a pass and allowed to set up many banquet tables with food warmers, etc, for their buffet. Thanks... much appreciated!Charlie Browns... funny story--- was a busy Sat night we were on a wait. My buddy goes, dude that guy looks like Bill Belichick... so I turn around and realize... THAT IS Bill Belichick. He had a total of 6-7 people in his party, so they got seated at a bigger table that we had open. One lady who was also waiting for a table freaked out on the manager because Belichick got sat first "HE IS GETTING SPECIAL TREATMENT"... when in reality it was just because he was with a larger party.
He was just as you would imagine... quiet, cold and not sociable at all. His wife and son and their friends were very personable. At one point a young kid came up and asked him for his autograph....Belichick turned him away.... ended up tipping about 30%.
I never forget Mrs. Screw for the simple reason that I value my life too much. I was saving the Queen for either later in the thread or its own.You forgot @MrsScrew .
I'm pretty sure that photo was taken the day JBJ was the commencement speaker at Rutgers-Camden.Mike, what game was John Bongiovi at?
Was she ready for her closeup?Gloria Swanson was Rutgers guest at the Rutgers Stadium Dedication Game of November 5, 1938 when Rutgers finally defeated Princeton for only the second time in history.

Nuts tailgated with Jenn Sterger before the RU_Ville game in 2006
Has you all beat !
Bruce used to wear RU gear to his gym all the time. My cousin, who was at RU at the time, worked their one summer and got to know him pretty well. Despite not sending his kids to RU - as many of NJ's wealthy are guilty of - he does follow the football program.
I don't know why people make shit up and/or assume shit. Freakin' hysterical.
What has Bruce ever ever done for RU other than your unproven claim that he " follows the football program ? "
You're too much:
- he owes Rutgers nothing. Just because he hasn't "done something" for us doesn't mean he can't be a fan. What an IDIOTIC statement.
- I have no reason to lie. Actually brought it up back when she was working there, IIRC from about 2004-2007, several times. Really couldn't give 2 shits if YOU believe me, anyway, lol...
You are right when you
say Bruce owes RU nothing, and that he has done nothing for RU.
And you're right again when you say I don't believe you.
Because I honestly don't believe you, ha !
