Celebrities you saw at Rutgers games

Christie Whitman at a Rutgers-Georgetown game at then then-MCI Center. (This was before I waited on her twice while moonlighting at the old Linens N Things in Bridgewater.)

I once saw an offense that could scores points and a defense that didnt give up 45-50 pts to B1o east schools..:scream:

Bruce used to wear RU gear to his gym all the time. My cousin, who was at RU at the time, worked their one summer and got to know him pretty well. Despite not sending his kids to RU - as many of NJ's wealthy are guilty of - he does follow the football program.

I don't know why people make shit up and/or assume shit. Freakin' hysterical.

Nuts I bELieve you and guess he doesn't owe Rutgers anything though it can be argued:
1) Lots of Rutgers alum and students have attended his concerts (easily 310+ tickets alone between Piscataway Mike, brother and myself).
2) Rutgers has paid him to play the Ledge and Barn.

That said he hasn't done a lot to support RU. he can attend Dook games at the Meadowlands but to my knowledge has never attended a Rutgers hoops or football game (let alone donate to the school). After fame has he played a SINGLE show at Rutgers (he's played Penn State) I do know as late as 2009? Piscataway Mike was shut out of a Giants stadium show (I only got into that show courtesy of my former RU Court Club Membership Chair/Big Donor).

Anyone can wear a hat to a gym. If I wear a Penn State hat it doesn't necessarily mean I support Penn State or pedophilia. I myself have started many "fan" conversations only to find out that person isn't a fan.

Maybe he's an alum and "townie" but John Mellencamp has/had season tickets for Indiana Basketball, has played shows on campus and I believe possibly donates to Indiana.

Remember BRUCE is the one that is/was always "Jersey, Jersey, Jersey" in concert. Therefore I do think to a limited extent those who complain have a point.
