I know PJ has missed shots. He has been hesitant on his shots and he can’t be. I think he’s thinking about it too much. He was a 40% shooter from 3 point range and we need him on the floor for open shots. Playing Jwill and Jmike have hurt us on the offensive end. Jmike does good things defensively and he can be in the rotation, but he should not be out there as much as he is. Jwill is not a shooter and he’s continued to regress and make poor decisions driving into traffic. Not sure what his role is, but he looks lost out there. Acuff has been up and down but he is a scorer and he can shoot the 3. He was a top scorer in all of college basketball last season. Give him the opportunity and minutes.
Bottom line is that when you have 5 guys on the court who can all shoot, you start to spread the floor and that open things up. I like defense as well, but you cant play with only two dependable shooters.
Larhan had clearly separated himself from Ogbole and he is establishing a post up game. Bring Jmike and Derkack in for defense and ogbole and jwill can give some breathers or, if guys get into foul trouble. Im not sure what to do with Martini???
This is what i would try. If we are able to get comfortable leads, you can readjust.
On defense, the zone is killing us. Where is the press, the traps, the steals. Stop allowing any team to set up the offense with the full shot clock. Stop going for every pump fake, and lets grab loose balls.
