does nobody on his staff tell him it might be a good idea to pretend to like NJ and RU the day he declares a state of emergency?

He's such a jackass. He just doesn't get it. Prime example of why this state doesn't like him.

If PA had a governor who was a Rutgers grad and wore a PSU or Temple jacket, people would be losing their minds here. Who cares.

Its a prime example that he just doesn't get it or the people of NJ. You just don't wear it he day you are doing press conferences about the state of emergency in NJ as the governor.

Wow. Who cares. It's not like he looks flattering in Rutgers stuff. He doesn't look flattering in anything.

This bully clown was going stay in New Hampshire and keep campaigning.
He only returned yesterday because of media bad press and public outcry.
Some Governor.

I wouldn't be, I would understand that he or she is the leader of that state. Christie doesn't even like NJ or its sports teams...he is more of a ND/Delaware/Cowboys kind of guy.

The NJ Governor attends a home Rutgers game against ND and cheers for ND, classic.

Why choose to wear something Delaware though?

Just don't wear any team gear today.

Maybe, just maybe, he didn't "choose" to wear anything. Like most of us guys in the middle of a monster storm, as such, we just grab the first thing in the closet, or on top of the drawer we open, and put it on.

Watched both his press conference and the mayor of NYC.....I don't care what he wears,he might not be great but i'd take his leadership over the clown from NYC anyway.

Ummm, except he isn't most guys, he is the Governor of our state. The storm wasn't a surprise, somebody should've been monitoring it. I'm sure he didn't wake up this morning and say, "damn that's alot of snow, let me throw on some sh!t and hold a press conference."

No, but I'm damn positive he didn't give 2 f*cks what he was wearing, either. SMH.

people actually observe and complain about what the governor wears during an emergency?

This board has been talking about the storm for atleast a week, you're telling me that the GOVERNOR woke up this morning, looked out the window and said 'wow, this is an emergency'...I guess I should expect President Obama to hold a press conference about the storm wearing a Hawaiian shirt and flip-flops, I'm sure that will go over well.

Just like he doesn't give 2 f×cks about this state...and judging from his baseball pic he couldn't give 2 f×cks even if he wanted too, lol.

Chris Ash woke up this morning, looked out the window and saw all the snow. He put on the first thing he could grab so he could check on recruits...it turns out he grabbed a tOSU sweater but it's an emergency, so it's all good right?

Regardless of where Christie went to school he is the Governor of NJ!

I don't care what he wears he approved a 25 mil bill that helps our state U . Some of you need to get s life.

Is your favorite part of his leadership how NJ is next to last in job growth, how we lead the nation in foreclosures, the increase in tolls and NJT fares, the fact that he pretends all of that never happened while traveling the country....

Or is it when his employees shut down an entire city, including one who was named to a six figure made up position, to punish a mayor who did not endorse him?

Do you feel it every time you fly out of EWR, and remember that Christie's appointee demanded United start flying to his summer home in order to get the PATH extended to EWR....which is still under federal and state investigation?

Do you feel it when you think of how Christie ordered a Republican prosecutor fired for investigating his cronies?

Wah wah NYC has homeless people. Guess what, they also have JOBS and so do PA, DE and CT while NJ twists in the wind and pays Christie's legal bills.

Christie is an abject failure by any count. He will be in jail within 5 years, not the White House. But yet we NJ taxpayers have to pay for him to galavant around NH and IA while he desperately trails and NJ burns.

Stop being a partisan. Christie sucks. 70%+ of New Jerseyans admit it.

I really don't like the guy but who cares? My Lord it IS where he went to school.

Would never happen in any other state with a P5 school.

Christie has shown up to RU events in Delaware gear.

He is also dumb enough to advertise he couldn't get into RU, which says a lot.

Don't like Christie, but at least he is wearing a shirt from his alma mater. I have no problem with that. If he wore a Notre Dame shirt that would be something else.

Chris ash works for Rutgers, and OSU is a competitor. CC does not work for Rutgers, nor is his job to represent Rutgers like Ash, so this is the most apples to oranges comparison ever... But please, keep getting butthurt over the dumbest stuff

What a buffoon - In his closet he has 2 or three versions of that
"Chris Christie - GOVERNOR " fleece that he wore during Sandy

When you are declaring a state of emergency for The State of New Jersey
- as the Governor of The State of New Jersey -
you should have enough basic common sense not to go out to deal with this critical situation wearing a garment emblazoned with "University of Delaware "
