90% of our recent issues come down to shooting. I got sucked in to thinking that we were a much improved perimeter shooting team after the 1st few games and as more data comes in I am starting to back track.
What is really concerning me has been the recent play, as a whole, of our newcomers. For the program to be making strides I thought it was essential for the newcomers to make meaningful and immediate impact. Right now I can't conclude that the program is making progress, but at the same time I can't conclude that we aren't.
I desperately need to see the ball go throw the hoop to get my hopes up. Basketball is a complex game with so many little things that determine who wins, many that are not in the boxscore. At the end of the day though most games are determined based on who shot the ball better. We aren't doing so hot lately.
