Halftime head to snack stand, kids wanted hot dogs, the one closest to main entrance.
Guy tells me none left. I said "you have no hot dogs and its halftime?" He says i think i have two left, brings back two cold hot dogs. I can literally feel them cold through the bag. I ask him how about hamburgers, he says nope. About 10-15 mins also.

Unbelievable at this level. Don't even see that at kids little league snack stand.

Went to that same stand near the entrance right at tip-off and they had no popcorn but went around the corner closer to my seats and both the concession stand and beer stand had. But to your point, amazing that they are literally out of anything.

I don’t agree with those dismiss this as a “no big deal”

this is a REVENUE sport and concessions are a part of that. Rutgers has to run and handle concessions like a business and this is an unacceptable situation for even a poorly run concessions business. Missing opportunities due to being grossly unprepared to make money for this revenue starved AD is down right embarrassing and foolish.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. It’s an utter embarrassment.

I think it’s odd that a main stand runs out of something as basic as hot dogs. I usually eat before or after, but if you have hungry kids...

they need to do a better job overall....i do not see why they do so poorly consistently despite the constant negative feedback. Its all part of the customer service experience, they appear to be small issues so why are they consistently messing these details up

With a third party vendor handling concessions, it’s an absolute DISGRACE that concessions are at this level. Rutgers (the fans) are not getting what they are paying for.

lack of attention to detail in ordering supplies probable answer which is unacceptable.

You should contact RU Athletics...Sarah B. should be made aware of this...it is her job to know and fix.

Also at a bunch of the stands they have a retirement home as the staff. Makes an already poor service, slower.

Walked into the RAC an hour before tipoff. Walked over to the concession in the lobby and bought a Mike's Turkey & Provolone. Next went to the stand by Auntie Anne's
and bought a regular cup of Diet because they only sell bottles up in the lobby. Took everything up to my seat so I can eat at halftime. Learned a long time ago not to go to
the concessions at half time.

I always bring in my own and a hot plate to warm them up
Used to have a full-on cookout up there in the 300 section, complete with open flame and a blanket to hide behind. By halftime I’d be sending up smoke signals (SOS, SEND HELP, etc.). Fortunately those days appear to be gone, hopefully for good.

Last wrestling match we bought the Mike's cheese steaks as we didn't have time to eat beforehand. A little pricey but didn't mind one bit once I started digging in, it was quite good. I don't mind paying a little more if it's edible. That Suckdexo crap was simply inedible. Rutgers needs to start doing more of contracting out other chains.

We had cheesesteaks last time, i didn"t mind overpaying because they were good. They were also all out of Jersey Mikes stuff by halftime.

Shit you not, guy told me to come back in 10-15 minutes and thought it was ok. I just laughed and walked away.

There have been numerous concession blunders. How about the $1 dog promo where they didn't even put the hotdog in the bun. And people poo pooed it

Emailed Pernetti about that fiasco and got courtside seats for 2 games out of it

Wasn't Sodexo supposed to be replaced?
Yes this year it was. Was using them as a reference point. But regardless Rutgers really needs to start contracting out to chain like they did with Jersey Mikes.

On a side not that has nothing to do with concessions I just woke up from a catnap. I dreamed that I needed one additional football ticket for a game on Oct 6. I went to the ticket office and the guy told me I didn't have enough points to purchase one. I had 470 and you needed 520 . I told him I didn't understand and I am hearing I don't have enough points to buy a ticket to a game that isn't sold out? Of course this is unrealistic but its typical Rutgers for this to happen.

Normally I would say it makes sense they would run out against hall as it was a sell out and dwarfs regular attendance and you only stock to the average not the high points but this one was a known sell out for a while so it’s a bad job
