Corey Sanders Not Invited to NBA combine

Selfishly this is great news... although maybe he could have gained some extra insight by going to combine and still coming back after? I don't know if that's allowed. Either way, the kid's a baller and he has extra coaches and does clinics and stuff on the side (there's a video series on YouTube about him) and so just really happy to have him on our team if he comes back. If we were playing tomorrow and tied with UNC with 10 seconds on the clock, I'd still want the ball in his hands 10 times out of 10 right now.

If we were playing NC and tied with 10 seconds left, it would probably mean we added a lot of talent beyond Corey.....

Just curious, is this a surprise? As stated by OP, expected.

Well see what happens. Coach didn't seem too confident he was coming back.

Combine was p

Huh? I thought the consensus was that everyone assumes he's coming back.

He probably will, but it's not 100%If anyone has any known information, post it. All I am saying is that Pikiells response was something like "We hope he comes back, but we support Sanders in any decision he makes."

Just because he didn't get an invite to the NBA, doesn't mean overseas or d league isn't available.

I hope he comes back.

Where was that quote?

I really like Sanders. He has a lot of upside, IMO. But, he really needs to improve his shooting to become a good professional player whether that is in the US or overseas. I hope he comes back and develops his game more while getting his degree.

The problem is the same thing happened last year and he didn't improve going left or his shooting last summer.

Perhaps this year is different.

I've been saying this for 3 years. In his video in his high school documentary he and his grandmother said his plan was to play 2 years at Rutgers. Take it for what its worth. I am not expecting him to come back. Hope I'm wrong.

Grandmothers know nothing about basketball, except Grand-ma-ma, if you have a long memory.

Only if they were playing his jumper and forcing him right.

You don't need more than Sanders' history of high schools and the way he repeatedly declares for the NBA draft like its a unique form of Tourette Syndrome to know that he really, really wants to play professionally and yesterday. With someone like that, you can never be sure he's coming back until he is actually back.

Love RU hoops and CS but who is feeding his head that he is NBA material. He has nba speed thats it ......... overseas maybe if he improves
