RU dropped 2 places from #48 to #50 worldwide from last year, but DID go up 3 spots from #32 to #29 nationally and most importantly are once again #1 in the Northeast as far as public schools go after being behind PSU last year. 6th in the B1G this year behind Michigan, Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Any time I hear somebody say something like, “ Well Rutgers isn’t that great of a school,” I tell them about this and I get a total look of shock. New Jerseyans dont have any idea everything the state has to offer, not just about Rutgers. It is changing, slowly, but it is changing.

Every high school guidance counselor, parent, teacher, and student need to know about this.

We're even ahead of one of the Ivies, Brown.

Since I believe this ranking factors in research more heavily than other rankings then that probably helps Rutgers land higher than a few schools that folks might typically associate with being better academically or more prestigious. Besides Brown, there's Vanderbilt, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Rice, Notre Dame, and others.....all looking up at RU.
