D coordinator needs to spend some time upstairs

I never understood why a coordinator would want to spend time on the field. Especially from the defensive side of the ball you have such an advantage seeing this upstairs vs field level. He needs to see the action from the box to get a perspective of how schematically they are matching up. I think the game is too fast for Rossi at this point being upstairs may slow it down for him.
