Can he shoot? I know he's a walk on but maybe he could help open up the inside...

i wish it was this easy and simple.

Shooters to be a net positive
1. need to play defensive
2. need a quick release
3. need to be a threat to put the ball on the floor and penetrate

I am a great shooter. i can't do 1,2, and 3 therefore i watch instead of play.

Appreciate Jake walking on and working hard, but no.

Jake is probably invaluable to the team in practice, but you've got to believe that if he could meaningfully contribute in a Big10 game, he would be in there.

Think Jimmy Chitwood, but real.

Then why not just put him in and run the picket fence?

Reminds me of the Gary Waters era. We once brought Erik Hazard off the bench completely cold for a last second shot in the first half against Providence??? (I think). I'm thinking to myself ... yes, the kid can shoot, and yes, he did end up getting that shot off, but I believe missed it. One of the more WTF plays from that era for me.

Anybody else remember the play?

Eric Hazard. Had to wrack my brain to remember he played for RU. He attempted a grand total of nine shots as a Scarlet Knight.

Saw him in high school plaging group 1 and 2 competition He was lights out faster than almost everyone, could shoot well , was not afraid to drive to the hole and had a really high hoops IQ for obvious reasons. He could do well at a D2 school .Will never see the light of day here.
