He's a good guy. I got a chance to speak with Revsine for a while at the B1G tourney at MSG. We chatted about numerous things, including his bout with Bell's palsy, which prevented him from being on the air for a few weeks. A good friend of mine was also afflicted with the disorder that causes temporary facial paralysis.
He pointed at my Rutgers sweatshirt and said, "You have to be pleased with the tournament?" He thought it was such a fun run, with Pikiell's club providing highly entertaining basketball.
I complimented him on his book, "The Opening Kickoff: The Tumultuous Birth of a Football Nation." He said he enjoyed researching it and discovering the pivotal role Rutgers played in inventing the game. He also noted we can expect the B1G to heavily publicize the 150th anniversary of college football in 2019.
