Did anyone watch the baseball selection show?

I missed it, but I read somewhere that when the studio guys asked the committee chair why Rutgers didnt get picked he gave a ridiculous answer that left the interviewers speechless. But they didnt say exactly what was said and Ive been trying to google it but cant find anything. Did anyone who watched remember what he said?
