Each Friday I like to check flightaware to see what type of plane we are flying out or they are flying in. Looking this morning looks like two charter allegiant air me-88 left Lincoln for Newark yesterday.

Since the teams don't usually fly till Friday have to say that is impressive.

maybe the team is coming in early so they can do something like take them to ground zero? Coming into this area has got to provide some special opportunities for the visiting teams (like their fans) just a thought..

If I understand correctly, NCAA rules only allow teams to come in 2 days prior to a game when there are no classes for players (like we did into Seattle last year in August). Other than that it's the day before the game.

didn't know that. well there you go. thanks.

kind of funny rule. Kids could probably learn so much more by an experience like that then what they are likely doing sitting back on campus in their "study halls" .

Who knows but it wouldn't shock me. Nebraska fan are just on a whole other level than any other fanbase in any sport.

Maybe someone is funding a "Fire Riley" banner plane, and wants the business to go to a Nebraska operation.

Maybe we can get a discount on a second banner.

Yes. This is the 'travel game' for all the Suite owners and evidently they have 2 charters coming out this morning for the game. I am far from a Suite owner however and will be just be driving the 1.5 hours tomorrow morning!

Anything into TTN? A buddy of mine works for NetJets in Las Vegas and one of his clients is a Nebraska booster. He was setting up a couple charters in August and wanted my advice on which airport to fly into.

Trenton & Monmouth Executive. He was looking for closest to campus and wanted to know what I thought about flying into Linden airport.

What about Somerset, Solberg or Central Jersey, which are all closer to campus? I don't know much about these smaller airports but I'm guessing they're too small.

Why not Morristown over Monmouth
I would be inclined to favor Morristown. I love the convenience of QUOTE. It isn't busy and with a 7000 foot runway can handle just about anything. But as far as I know it is still an uncontrolled field which makes me nervous. Morristown is big enough (6000 foot runway) and it has a tower which I prefer. Trenton is good also.

I like checking that stuff too. As one of the Nebraska fans mentioned in this thread it looks like those 2 charters were for their "Suite owners." The team plane looks to be the United flight with a 3 hour delay probably due to the windy conditions in Newark. It looks like they will be landing around 8 pm tonight.
