Rossi is def gone i can't see how he would still be on the staff. Not sure about McDaniels. Depending on what O we run he may be retained but we will likely learn more about the situation on Monday.

I would think after he gets hired, his first moves will be to interview the current coaches, get their thoughts on the players on the roster and find out where they are with recruits. He doesn't have to replace any of them right away but we all know he will as soon as he gets replacements for those not staying.

Traditionally you surround yourself with people you know and trust for key roles, you also keep some of the old staff for continuity at least for the first year as long as they are capable of embracing and executing your philosophy. Some may end up in different roles, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. The other consideration is money, you will have more for key new hires if you retain some of the old staff, unless, of course, Ash has financial carte blanche for hiring his staff.

Hopefully Fridge is still available to consult and give Ash insight on the coaches. Some are probably capable and should be kept for continuity but I think OC and DC will change.

He delivered to Flood's doorstep every top player in NJ a half dozen times, all of whom Flood failed to close.

If he weren't so busy coaching tOSU defense he would have fired our existing staff, hired an entirely new one (mostly from tOSU, Bama, and Michigan),and flipped a bunch of Rivals 150 recruits to RU...<sarcasm>

EJ deserves to stay. Why would Lazer and Stoudland leave NFL? I know Lazer was let go, but why would they come to Rutgers.

Stoutland recruited my brother to play at Southern Connecticut State in the early '90's. Local guy who may be a good fit here.

I don't see any coaches from OSU's staff that would come over. It will be interesting to see who he keeps and who he brings in.
