Doubt it. Though guard room is crowded so may have at least considered it in his decision making. More likely he just got an opportunity he always coveted more to play at a school than RU.
Two different positions... Noah is the distributor Cam needed. If anything, it should have made coming back more attractive.
If i were Cam and I know what Fernandes is getting I would want more. I wouldn't call it pissed I'd call it capitalism.

Cam would have been better off with Paul as his PG comapred to fernandes or Simpson.
Fernandez was brought here partially because of Cam. Very clear what pike was trying to construct and Cam was center of the roster.

What? Cam needed a PG that could break a defense down off the dribble, penetrate and dish. Mulcahy was perhaps the worst PG prototype possible for Cam

Paul is a pass 1st and pass 2nd point guard. His primary thought process is getting the ball to others.

Cam’s earning power from playing basketball will probably never be better than it is this month. He would be a dope to not monetize that.
If pike refused to run Cam off screens, which he did refuse to do…Cam needed a PG who can penetrate the lane and dish. Mulcahy can only penetrate the lane in slow motion with his back to the basket trying to post up a smaller guard….plus Cam and Mulcahy together made our slow team even slower….and Paul’s man often sagged in the lane knowing he has an extremely slow release and often would t even shoot if he was wide open.
Cam was often underutilized this year and I expected a better version this year with Derek having a year under his belt and the addition of Noah.. Oh well, someone sure recognized it.

I like that term … Capitalism… most of the majority on this board realize this aspect is what has allowed for almost all Rutgers grads and fans to be considered a cut above the rest. Those other “ isms “ really don’t work , haven’t worked and will NEVER benefit the serfs of society.
Cam is not a guy who flies off the ball using screens catching and shooting. He is a guy that is catch and shoot. His success is purely dependent on others as he really doesn’t create his own shot. He wasn’t like Funk that will use off the ball screens and make his defender work hard.
Cam also spent quite a few games on the bench in crunch time. The hope is Gavin replaces what Cam did.
But we didn’t run an offense like Penn State. The only screen we seem to run in the BS one at the top of the key that used to foul Myles out of games and hurt Cliff for a while too. I agree he doesn’t create but I’m pretty sure he could shoot off a screen if we did that…and even if he is stand and shoot, a penetrating guard can also find him if cams man even sags into the lane slightly to help. Our offense was a terrible fit for Cam and he still did pretty well.
Very few families do not celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA even in these times where people hate just for the sake of hating. Not saying there are those that don’t but … still the large majority of people. What gets hyped in MSM is that people are not celebrating it and that is total BS. I’ll take a guess… 90+ % still celebrate this US holiday even the people who just found out about it. The sad part is the number of under age say 35 are the biggest “ I don’t celebrate… Thanksgiving .” Even that figure is misrepresented… the goal by some is destroying what actually brings most people together …the holidays. Maybe get out into other more non biased states and ask that or propose that thinking about Thanksgiving.

Let the player do what he thinks is best for him and his future. The same people criticizing Cam Spencer for his portal entry need to ask themselves what if Rutgers was getting a player from another team not expecting this scenario. A major lesson in reality of NIL. Podcasters need to temper what they have heard in all sports. I love Rich and Mike’s show but come on this was a big miss.
