Don't look now but 9 game RAC winning streak

dating back to last years virtual walkover of Minnesota. And a real chance to extend it with Penn State, Northwestern, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota coming in as the first 5 conference home games...wow

Need to fill the place up to have a chance of winning those games. The RAC is still a mere shadow of its former self. The students will be on break for the first three of those home games, which won't help. Beat either SHU or Wisconsin on the road and fans may come out of the woodwork. Except, the New Year's Day game will be a tough sell even if RU is hot.

I agree as our first 6 BIG games are really tough. Three of the first four are on the road as well as four of the first six.

away Wisconsin
home Penn State
away Michigan State
away Iowa
home Northwestern
away Indiana

its not a must win but if you really want the 10-1 early season to take on greater meaning you HAVE to beat Penn State at home, the Nittany Lions are looking like the weakest school in the league so not being able to win that game at home with a rough Big 10 schedule ahead wouldnt be the way you want to start league play....and for the casual fan, losing to Penn State would mean same old Rutgers.

Curious ... what's Rutgers' most recent longest winning streak larger than this one, and when did it happen?

The Big 10 has done us no favor with this schedule. Not to mention the timing of some of these games , or no Saturday night home games, Penn State on New Years at 230pm, etc., but just the random home and away nature of the scheduling. We seem to have 2 road games to 1 home game all year with the exception of Wisconsin and Iowa back to back but the Wisconsin game is at MSG as part of the Wisconsin/ Ohio State wrestling doubleheader . There will be a big Wisconsin contingent there so no home court advantage on a neutral court. The other exception is we end the year with 3 home games which is weird and makes coming into those games with a record close to 500 difficult because of all the earlier away games. Having ranted over the schedule I expect us to be competitive with the entire conference
