Dumb challenge. Denver escapes a big disaster.

There would have been holy hell raised if the call was reversed to a catch and non fumble.

That's what I was thinking during the commercial break as they made the review. It would have been all everyone would be talking about today.
Similar to head coaches calling a last second timeout during a field goal only to have the guy miss it but nail it the second one. Overcoaching

Not on a replay but there was a game ending kick attem

Dude it a terrible challenge. THATS the point.
For it to be a fumble it has to be a completion! Do you understand the rules at all?

Dude, first pass the doobage Bogart. Now listen to what i am saying not what you are thinking because I am understanding why you have your opinion. This is how I am thinking it played out. Try to open up your mind. Duuuuude.

1. Denver coach thinks he fumbled and wanted the ball to seal the game.
2. Ruling on the field is incomplete so to be overturned Belechik needs to challenge. No risk for Denver to challenge. Prove otherwise and I'll give you $100.
3. They lose the challenge, rightfully, but the play stands so.no harm to Denver.

Two possible outcomes if DENVER challenges:

1. Denver gets the ball
2. Play stands as an incomplete pass.

Now this is really my last, last post until you show me an example of your thought process EVER happening. A video or a real article. No wiki.No doobage. I honestly do not think it can be changed to a completion and no fumble. You can agree to disagree but you cannot tell me I am wrong just because you say so. Dude. And I will pay the $100 in doobage.

The easiest $100 I'll ever make. Belichick didn't challenge! The Patriots were lining up for a 4th and 6 when Denver challenge the rule on the filed as an incomplete pass. Official stats from the NFL's play by play log.
3-6-DEN 14 (2:30) (Shotgun) 12-T.Brady pass incomplete short middle to 80-D.Amendola (36-K.Webster). Denver challenged the incomplete pass ruling, and the play was Upheld. The ruling on the field was confirmed. (Timeout #2.)

There were only to possible rulings to the challenge.
1. Pass complete, Amendola down by contact.
2. Incomplete pass.

There is a zero chance that Denver gets the ball.

Cash only, I don't take checks

That's not proof. That is your viewpoint. I'm serious about the $100. Give me proof. Not to mention you didn't even read what I said.

Exactly. Not sure if they legally can do that or not but I am certain they would not have the balls to make that call. I have never seen it happen.

The above in bold is from the NFL! Not my viewpoint. It proves that Denver requested a challenge on the INCOMPLETE pass. They lost the challenge and it cost them a timeout.

Here is further proof. The NFL rules on replay. http://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2015-nfl-rulebook#rule15

There is nothing in there protecting the team that makes the challenge.

Go to the video and listen to the NFL guys say exactly what I have been saying. Listen to what they are saying beginning at the 5:48 mark. "a catch and down by contact"

ARTICLE 3. REVIEW BY REFEREE

All Replay Reviews will be conducted by the Referee on a field-level monitor after consultation with the covering official(s), prior to review. During the review, the Referee will consult with designated members of the Officiating department at the League office. A decision will be reversed only when the Referee has indisputable visual evidence available to him that warrants the change.

Note 1: Time Limit. Each review will be a maximum of 60 seconds in length, timed from when the Referee begins his review of the play at the field-level monitor.

Note 2: All reviewable aspects of the play may be examined and are subject to reversal, even if not identified in a coach’s challenge or if not the specific reason for a Replay Official’s request for review.

I'm with Whitebus on this. My first thought after the replay was that whoever in the booth told Denver to challenge that was going to get fired. I thought for sure it was a catch, first down, and non-fumble.

Challange? Really? The spelling on this forum is just horrendous. And I'm not one to call this out, but that level of misspelling does truly make a person look like an idiot.
Forget about regular words, we can barely spell the names of Rutgers football players on here. Caroo? Retting?
