Dylan injured!!

Someone needs to check on JWill.
He might still be spinning in circles looking for an Iowa player after that dagger 3.
I hate to single out players but it’s every game. For every nice play he made, he immediately offsets it with either a stupid foul or gives up a big bucket. It’s like a kid who gets too excited and gets out of control. He ends up with the ball in his hands way too much late in the shot luck

Lazy, low energy performance by Harper. Best 8 minutes we played was when he was on the bench. If he is hurt or sick then he shouldn't play at all.
Iowa took him out of the game and Pike didn’t help him with the stupid offense. When we finally figured out to spread out let him go one on one, he scored like 4 straight trips. For some stupid reason he decided to pull up for a 3 on the next trip to help Iowa. Game was over after that because our D sucked.

Dylan is one of the most talented players we have ever had. However I am a bit surprised he is viewed as a top 3 pick. He is a medicore shooter at best at the college level (and even in high school, he was was shooting low 30%s from 3). Never been better than low 30%s from three, and mid range jump shot % pretty low as well.

He is very craft and excellent at penetrating. However for a top 3 prospect, who will play the guard position in the NBA to not be able to shoot very well, would make me very hesitant if I am an NBA GM to draft him that high.

He scored on 4 straight trips? I guess I missed that. It's more like when he actually put in some effort and drove to the basket (4 times for the entire game), he either got fouled or scored. So maybe he should have done that more often? JWill, a less skilled player was able to get to the basket with more regularity, and despite his flaws, he at least plays like he cares.

Reactions: TRU2RU and Smols
This sums it up well:

"Former five-star guard Dylan Harper was the fifth RU player to reach double-digit scoring last night and that did not come until the 2:50 mark of the second half. He finished with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting even though it looked like he could have taken any Iowa player off the dribble at any time. He seemed disinterested and disengaged by the end of the game."

Disinterested and disengaged. Yep.
