Here's the issue:

Rutgers is behind OSU, PSU, Michigan and Notre Dame to get to NJ recruits. Really, Rutgers is a distant fifth. Schiano hurts Michigan and PSU more than Rutgers.

In the end, Chris Ash has to find a way to get this program into the heat of that mix. With or without Schiano, the mission is the same, nothing has changed.

Plus OSU assistants recruit by position instead of regionally like most teams do it so how many DB's is GS going to be trying to recruit from NJ per year?

Urban Meyer is a friend of Greg Schiano. He gave him this position to repair his reputation. Obviously no one wants him as a HC right now. He will be a hot commidity next off season.

Probably more like in 2 years since Urban Meyer demands 2 year commitments. No way is GS going to go against that after being thrown this bone.
