The article is on NJ.com, written by Duggan. With the current anti-NJ.com/SL feelings among many fans here I chose not to add a link. Check it out if you are so inclined...it's a good read.

after 45 articles on Flood's non story they write one on the starting QB.

It's a shame I will not get to read it. I'll just look forward to seeing him on the field. Cannot wait until next Saturday!

Can someone copy and paste?
Back in the Josh and Ted days people copied and pasted links from NJ.com and posted them here so no one had to go to that site.
Advanced Publications contacted John O threatening to sue Scarlet Nation for allowing that.
Citing copyright laws John told this board not to copy and past, but we could give a brief summation as long as we provided a link.
Even copying and pasting the whole article with link was a no-no , so iit would be best from a legal standpoint not to copy and paste anything from NJ.com and post it here.
Just give a brief description and put link to article in if you want it seen
Those who want to will, those that don't won't.
But expect some complaints about posting NJ.com links and expect to see complaints about those complaints :boxing:[laughing]

Thank you for your consideration.

I read it.

Summary is:

Big Arm
Likely to be a learning curve
Comparison to Favre in that he is a gunslinger, but also prone to interceptions
Brother or HS coach said he often came back to Cali and chilled out, but this summer he came back focused

My take...lot of potential, needs to continue to put in the work, likely to make some bad reads/throws at times.

Given that various articles on Rettig have appeared in SL since Rettig came here - and given the SL staff tendency to redundantly recycle their repetitively regurgitated material it is likely that virtually every word in an article that reads "A Closer Look at ...." has already appeared in one article or another . .... the words may be arranged in a different order - but really - with little access to the players & knowing that Rettig's biography has already been thoroughly covered - what new nuggets could possibly have emerged since Tuesday?

Surprised there are some guys here still trying to push these articles on us. Why? We can't get a collective effort going against njcom.? There are people trying to hurt our program and we can find ways to defend it? No way.
I have friends and family in this program and these star ledger losers are threatening their success and the program's success. Screw them .

I would have told them that Scarletnation would be immediately deleting any content that mentioned or linked to their website as it is competing content with the pay site here. I don't understand why posters keep linking to that website anyway unless they are getting paid to do so. If I want to go there and see what they are writing, I can do so on my own at any time.

Wtf is the matter with you guys. You are all nj.com addicts. Stop Clicking and linking!
Agree. Continuing to read their articles is an endorsement. So looking for positive articles amidst the lies distortions and defamations is the wrong approach.

No thanks.... NJ.com is no longer on my list of media sites that I visit for Rutgers information. I hope Todderick leaves though because I did like his coverage.

Won't read. Wish RutgersAl didnt link it. If people want to find it, they know where to look. I really think we need to prohibit posting those links here. They are damaging our program and there is really no way to deny it anymore. They have taken about 5 or 6 topics now and run dozens of stories on each of them, recycling the same facts trying to get people fired and damage our school's reputation and public image. If you dont think this stuff hurts us with NJ voters and state funding, you are dead wrong.

A weak Rutgers is a Rutgers that's easy to cut funding on, play politics with.

Not going there.

All I saw was "gunslinger and interceptions".

Prefer a don't turn the ball over type QB after Nova and his WTF games.

We continue to have a bunch of enablers in our midst . Some are media shills , some are just antagonists .

Solid article thanks for linking it. You can tell he put a lot of effort into it and maybe if we give the clicks to positive content they will produce more of it.

You've got to be kidding me. No one could be that naïve.

Anyone, including Al that posts links to that site does not have RU's best interest in mind.
