And maybe of the year.

Around the 6:55 mark in the first half, Xavier Johnson beats JMike off the dribble, penetrates deep into the paint. Cliff slides over, and instead of JMike following his man or staying in defensive limbo, he slides in front of number 24 (Cliff’s man) and is in place to deflect the ball out of bounds.

So many times over the years our players would not read our bigs coming over to help out, leaving the opposing big to be left wide open for either an easy putback or for and easy pass and dunk.

JMike read this exactly how he should and broke up the play. Loved it. That’s the definition of high basketball IQ.

To me it was two, the bank at the end of the half, and a PNR to Cliff for the dunk

Or maybe I appreciate different type of plays then you.
I love D, but this is basic stuff. Just saying any conversation of this possibly being the play of the year is a stretch IMO, but if that’s at the top of your list OK.

Basic stuff that hasn’t been done here for years. Also it’s more basketball IQ, than even just D. But hey, thanks.

I thought Noah’s drive and dish to Woolf for the lay-in was pretty sweet. Need to see more of that from our guards.

Yeah, that was a nice play.

The guard slipping down to disrupt the big after the our big switches out to attempt a block is kind of a pet peeve of mine, just a good basketball play that we rarely execute correctly. I have seen way too many easy scores because our guards/wings never read that play. I really appreciated JMike doing that.

Or video, in this particular case.

Play of the Year is the game winner v Stonehill. A miss would have been terrible.
