I think giving yards was by design. Maryland is explosive offensively, but struggle to score when close to or inside the red zone. They want chunk plays and the red zone doesn't allow for that. Rutgers' defense kept coming up with big plays in that area of the field. Maryland's offense was out of sync because they can't operate in close quarters.Rutgers did a good job to hold Maryland’s in check despite giving up more than 450 yards.
Seems like that's been Harasymiak's game plan a few times this year starting with Washington.
