I think giving yards was by design. Maryland is explosive offensively, but struggle to score when close to or inside the red zone. They want chunk plays and the red zone doesn't allow for that. Rutgers' defense kept coming up with big plays in that area of the field. Maryland's offense was out of sync because they can't operate in close quarters.

Seems like that's been Harasymiak's game plan a few times this year starting with Washington. And this has thrown many of our fans off because they were expecting a defense that gave up fewer yards.
