I'm surprised not to see a thread about yesterday's women's NCAA action. The B1G is off to a 2-0 start with Michigan and Iowa both winning their games. The other five B1G teams are play today, with RU on tap later this morning.
The women's tournament is very different from the men's, where victories by double-digit seeds are pretty common. There were no upsets yesterday in the women's opening round, something I hope will continue today as RU opens as a favorite! There is still a huge gap between the Power 5 conferences plus UConn and the rest of the women's basketball world.
After last night's heartbreaking loss by the men, I am looking for the RU women to make a deep run into the tournament, with Rutgers returning to the Sweet 16, where it used to be a fixture.
Best of luck to the Rutgers women today! Get that "W"!
