Foreman Transferring

Underachiever, can't finish at the rim, but still hurts, already have no size. Best friends with Mike Williams, would hate to see Mike follow

Fine. I am suddenly okay with anyone transferring. Just want Pikiell to have full control. I trust he will do the right thing.

Trust the process, sir. I think we will be fine. I would like to see an assist from Mike Williams. It is not like we had a 20 win team last season.

Just confirms what we already knew, Eddie did nothing here, but waste three years of everyones time. There will be more transfers to come, but I will trust Pikiell In the rebuild

For real. Jordan wanted to be the head of coaching and nothing else it seems like. Head coach has to recruit as well.

Williams needs to stay, has toughness about him.

Where is two or three assist from a guard?I like Williams, but unfortunately I believe a lot of our roster is replaceable. It may be a complete rebuild, and I am fine with that. I like Williams, but I see a lot of driving with his head down. What the says to me is that you want yours, and are not looking to pass.

Not the type of player we get to the tournament with.

It's a loss because we are unbelievably thin up front right now but Foreman was an extremely limited basketball player. On the one hand it's good that Pikiell will have some scholarships to hand out and not be locked in for two more years for players that don't have a big upside, but next year is going to be REALLY rough unless we can bring land a front court graduate transfer or two as reinforcements.

Even though Williams was also a Van Macon recruit, there have been encouraging tweets from William's father about the new staff. Shields, I agree, I want Williams to stay, I love his toughness.

If Goode and Foreman are the only transfers, that's something that we can certainly deal with and not suffer setbacks. Let's hope it ends with these two.

This is our thinking? That any player with a flaw shouldn't be here? Mike Williams is a tough defender willing to do the dirty work and is the kind of player who would seem to fit with Pike's vision of guys who just want to win and fit in. There are plenty of NBA guys who have certain limited skill sets - how can you expect perfection from a college sophomore?

Bullock is upgrade over Goode and hopefully can get a good player to replace Foreman. To get an assist people have to make shots. And how many good passes did Sanders make where kids fumbled the ball out of bounds?

I point to his driving mentality. Lots of head down.

Not our thinking, just mine. I am just saying, there are going to be transfers. We are not coming off a 20 win season. I am not going to have any kind of emotion about this. I like Williams, but I would like to see him transform his game a little bit. I would not want to see him go, but a rebuild is a rebuild. Rather build it Pikiells way than anyone elses.

I could see Bullock playing that three or four spot. At the three he would add some nice boards. If freeman stays, he is at the 4 and hopefully Shaq at center.

We will see though. I trust Pikiell will recruit another two players.

Look, Williams isn't superstar, he's undersized, and his shooting has been disappointing but I think most fans appreciate his toughness and he will still get playing time and has a role on this team. I'd be disappointed to lose Williams. He was at the Pikiell press conference and mixing it up with his kids so, to me, that's a sign that the guy wants to be here and is invested in the program.

Need the big kid that was mentioned on this board. And I hope Hobbs has someone he has been recruiting to come on board.

Looks like Jordan was even lazier than I thought.

I cannot go as far as call the guy lazy, but it seems like he wanted to come back to his alma mater knowing he would make more money there than anywhere in the NBA. Also seemed like he didn't use his assistants a ton. Just from what I saw behind the bench. Clearly was not ready for a rebuild. I am starting to think he was more of a guy to come in and change the stigma Rutgers basketball had.

I can. Looks like he didn't recruit, wanted nothing to do with rebounding and defense, didn't attend events that he should have, paid no attention to details on the court, and blamed circumstances and players for his failures...that's lazy.

The part that annoys me, and this happens every time after a coach is gone, we NEVER see these reports while they're here and as fans have no way to truly evaluate what is going on with the building of the program. I love Jerry Carino but the only real press reports of the "laziness" of the recruiting was the one ZagsBlog article a few months ago. However, those of us that attended the Court Club meetings could get a sense of Jordan's lack of involvement by the way he answered questions about how the recruiting process works.

some of these comments are laughable..maybe the same posters who said "dont worry" when Flood couldnt get Jersey kids to commit in football.."Flood will just find great kids from Montana that want to be here"..meanwhile the talent level dropped to an alarming bottom level on Football to the point it will now take Ash several years to rebuild to even compete against B10 squads..Losing Foreman hurts..

is there a worse individual program in the country than Rutgers basketball?

-can't field a full roster
-nobody goes to games
-coach won't recruit or teach fundamentals
-constant blowouts
-awful facilities
-constant roster turnover
-Cleveland browns level of coaching changes
-recruiting couldn't be any worse

Comparing Flood ability to Pikiell is just as funny, lol.Very different coaches as far as the resume goes.

that's just not true, there is talent on the football roster that was terribly mismanaged.

Would you say Robert Martin, Hicks, Patton, Agudosi, Grant, Bless Austin, Dorian Miller, Cole, Turay, etc are not talented?

We're thin at LB which is true, but otherwise every position has plenty of talent. They were outschemed and not developed to their potential
