We must have the highest number of commentators who dispute foul calls on Rutgers on the planet this year. That last foul call was atrocious.

Sanders good look for win and misses

Just lost to a team that was spiralling with 7 of 8 losses and lost its best player

Now that it's over. I don't want to hear ANYONE complain that Stringer is this great coach on both sides of the ball. NO ONE! Her inability to understand, teach and coach offensive is OFFENSIVE. This game should have been won easily in regulation if we had run some offensive sets for Arella and isolated her, which would have opened up the floor for everyone.

And those that don't understand BB, please don't chime in, "but, but, she was being double and triple teamed..." Sorry, you use that to your advantage even with some of the lousy shooters on this team.

Also, Migs knocks down two straight 3's but I guess she doesn't play great D so we don't ever see her again in the game. What C Viv. You couldn't even put her in, in the 3rd quarter when we desperately need offense. What possible NCAA team scores 5 points in an entire quarter? Tell me? Only Rutgers with that awesome D can manage only 5 points in the quarter.

This game is a microcosm of why C viv. needs an assistant coach who is offensive minded and let that person run the offense including during the game to make in-game adjustments.

That was one of the most disappointing and pathetic loses I have witnessed in a while. We are ridiculous. We have much more talent, have no offensive flow, and foul like crazy. I have to believe this is bad coaching
can't say it was a well coached game and was a very disgusting game to watch.

Maybe there is a reason?
No. That's a lame response. Yes the foul was stupid. But you can't expect this kid to learn the game at this level if she never gets in early to get her feet wet. And you only put her in because you have no other alternative. That kid has a ton of talent, and needs to get minutes in the first half and early second half so that when she comes into the game, she understands and the game slows down for her. I don't blame her at all.

This> "This game is a microcosm of why C viv. needs an assistant coach who is offensive minded and let that person run the offense including during the game to make in-game adjustments."

Viv's D alone won't get it and her players seem not to have the offensive talent they should be showing.
I'll still say Vivian is a great coach but hasn't proved to be an elite one because of the offensive play her teams have had over the last 8 or so years.
At one time, I feel, her D put her in the elite level and her O was good enough to make Stringer's teams a top program.
But now her O is missing and her D dominating games is not bringing home the wins without offensive help.

This game has me wondering, but just because I gave up on this game before the end, won't give up hope for an offensive turnaround and more players scoring than having just Guirantes carry the O on her own .

I agreed with everything you stated except the last paragraph. I won't give up on them too, because I'm an alum and fan. But at the end of the season I think Hobbs needs to sit down with her and have a heart to heart. He understands BB. He needs to be open with her and explain, things need to change on that side of the ball or it's time to retire with grace.

Hobbs has said that cvs will still be a presence on the program post retirement which means she is going to pick her successor.

The woman is a HOF coach and no one can ever take that away. But she has not evolved with the women’s game. Good/great defense and average/below average offense does not cut it any longer. There are too many really good offensive players in the women’s game now. It’s not 20 years ago. If you want to be in the top 25 or aspire to a NC you need an offensive game plan and score points. Or we can just stick our heads in the sand and be happy if we make tournament.

I feel badly for our ladies because we put them in no position offensively to win that game

LOL, I posted about some complainers wanting CVS gone >
Rutgers showing life don't count them out in hopes to get a reason to kick CVS to the curb.
( not all complainers are like that, but there are some that look for every chance to imply she should go)<
and had replies like I was crazy to post that.
Examples:
>"Mad, I love you man, but stop. Just stop. No one wants to kick her to the curb. We just want to see the talent she brings in succeed in spite of her inability to teach and run a passable offense."<
>"HUH ?"<
Glad to see what I said wasn't my imagination.

This is the type of game that brings that on and a game that ended in a way in which I can't defend CVS, like I usually do.

So please don't act like you don't feel Stringer should be replaced if you implied it before today and I bring it up without mentioning names.
I'm not knocking those who have proven they care, but don't like what they see out of the team, just those who only come on this board to post digs at the team and the way this program is being handled.

The posts I put in as examples are from RU WBB fans that only want the best and I'll add another (who I usually disagree with) that tends to get excited (on every board, posting sky is falling at times in the Fb & MBB boards) and find fault with Vivian, but will give praise when that RU WBB fan feels it's deserved.
That poster wants the best RUWBB results and has shown to feel CVS can't bring it anymore.

So when I imply some want CVS gone, don't take offense, because you know it's true.

I totally agree with what you are saying and I also went on record before last year that if RU didn't make the dance Hobbs should ask her to retire giving her Emeritus status and if she declined, let her know she wasn't coming back.
The year RU had made her worthy of coming back.

The way the team is playing now, makes your scenario one that needs to happen, if the offense doesn't become a plus

Could be that or have a hand in deciding her replacement because of being Head Coach Emeritus Stringer.

How many turnovers for the Gophers?
How can you lose a game when you earn that many turnovers?

She has not shown an ability to develop talent as most of the team has regressed. Let’s see what she does with this great class entering next year?
