This is still the worst team in the big ten by far. We are so caught up in micro progress that we forget how low the program still is...
No. It's three games PLUS poor junior college stats PLUS a lack of other high-major offers.
And yet pikiell wanted him so instead of listening to a bunch of nobodies like you guys..
Look, I like Pikiell, but show me which coaches are right 100% of the time about 100% of the guys they recruit.
"Pikiell wanted him" is literally the only argument in his favor and I don't find it very compelling when viewed against all other available evidence.
I like that we're 2-0, we we should be. I DON'T like our team playing down to a lesser squad and then we of course see we can't freakin' shoot the ball. Can you imagine if Mike Williams wasn't good to go today? We would have lost this game. As it turned out, we also learned our team doesn't freakin' know how to finish a game as well. We're up 15 and we end up letting them go on a 17-6 run. I hope Pikiell and staff really rip this team a new one because that kind of endgame garbage is beyond unacceptable.

Doubt it. According to Ken Pom we were favored to win this game by 19. We were up 15 and then allowed them to go on a 17-6 run to end the game. I hope Pikiell rips them and makes them shower and get dressed and then go back out on the court and shoot jump shots.
It doesn't matter. Nor does the transitive property. We shot poorly all game, finally took a comfortable 15 point lead and then allowed them to make this game a nail biter. Inexcusable.

Yes, a win is certainly better than a loss, but I guarantee you that Pikiell is really pissed off at some of our "veteran" players who played like garbage today and played down to the competition. You don't go up 15 and then forget how to finish a game and let the other team go on a 17-6 run to close out the game. So no Shack to don't apologize for a win, but as Rutgers fans one has to be a little worried at this poor display today.
Sanders still takes way too many bad shots -- off-balance, moving away from the basket, in traffic, etc.

We actually shot 78% from the line today...horrible endgame by us, though - probably not a bad thing as this team needs to learn how to play smarter down the stretch...

Well, just got back from the RAC. Ugly would be a kind description. Just relieved that we avoided a WTF special. Pike is going to kill them in practice tomorrow. He was not happy in the post-game interview. Hopefully this is a wake up call for them. This team is not good enough to roll out of bed and beat people. They have to grind for everything.
Nope. Saw the D1 athleticism but he was clearly underskilled. Much better so far this year.
Souf is already 23 or 24 years old so I'm not optimistic that he can make the same strides.
