I’m just a fan, no basketball expert. But I can’t help feeling we wouldn’t have been in this mess if Pike had played Grant a lot sooner. How many losses he could have helped with.

We did not get up in the airspace of their 3 point shooters. We constantly either left them uncovered, gave them too much space, or just didn’t challenge the shot. Maryland shot a lot of unchallenged 3 point shots that half. It was as if our strategy yelled out by Pike in the locker room was “Let’s hope they miss because we won’t be covering them!”
In fairness, a lot of those threes came from the parking lot
Adjust? We will come out the second half doing the same things like we have all year.
Feel like us fans have more of a sense of urgency than they do. Ace's game is a moody teenager - one day things are great and the next day things are terrible. Not going on ANY kind of season run when one of your big 2 is like that.

This. With the size of their Bigs hitting 3s at the clip they are is devastating. The only answer is to match them offensively until they cool off from out. But with Ace no showing this game has the making of a blowout.
Its outrageous but not surprising with Rutgers poor half court offense that lacks player and ball movement.Iso offense allows Maryland to double team Bailey and Harper every time they touch the ball.

I'll will f***ing go blue in the face and I've said this 8 billlion times--making 3 pointers is not optional .it is an absolute necessity to win in college basketball. Game play to take them and have guys in place to make them.
They are letting Maryland defend VERY physically yet repeatedly we getting called for far less contact

Maryland punched us and we are folding but they have made some deep contested 3's and it doesn't help when you don't get calls when you are aggressive
I don’t know. Play a more aggressive man to man further out. Can’t just capitulate to their outside shooting.
Its the coaches responsibility when the difference in the game is 3 pointers made by Maryland.
