Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Maryland

It really is bad. I'm not noticing the bias others are - they're just bad. Can't pronounce names, don't know the down and distance and other situations, and calling the wrong players (including guys on the other team).
I don't necessarily agree on biases. They seem to be agents for Greg Schiano, singing his praises the entire half. Name pronunciation has been horrific and funny.

The bias has eased up some. Was way more obvious in Q1 than most of Q2. Perhaps RU is earning some respect from them.

But yeah, they are really struggling to call the game.

I admit I’m sensitive to it - pet peeve

The bias is the attention they pay each team - it’s about what MD needs to do on O when they on offense and then what they need to do on D whe RU has the ball, almost all of the back stories (and input about players is MD guys), the ONLY time they breakdown what RU did on a play is when they are basically forced to because RU made a play (otherwise on regular plays it’s all about MD needs to do /did)

To add more announcer fuel was their shock at the PI call after not saying a word about the 50 uncalled ones before that. 🤦‍♂️

He doesn't contest vertical 50/50 balls big enough yet. He doesn't attack up enough. His blocking needs to be more violent. He needs to not allow balls to get to his chest on crossing routes. He's good, but can be elite.

He's big but looks even bigger with the long limbs and large .
He's a guy I could see being NIL lured by other teams.
He was a 2 star with Ivy offers, Army, Wm and Mary - legacy schools.
Not one of those recruits who turned down Ohio St, PSU et al

Announcers always hype up the home team including when we play at home, that I don't mind. But not knowing it was 4th down and calling wrong names is pretty bad considering the salaries they demand.

He was a db in hs and only played we on game day.

Chris myers has the hair color of a teenager.. and the player recall of a nursing home reaident

Seems every week we leave a RB wide open out of the backfield. That was a really poor decision to load the box in 3rd and 1
