Big win on a slow day.

B1G

None

But let’s do the B1G standings up to the minute:

1t. Iowa (21-5, 12-3)
1t. Maryland (23-3, 12-3)
3. Rutgers (18-7, 10-4)
4. Michigan (18-9, 9-6)
5t. Purdue (17-11, 8-7)
5t. Minnesota (19-7, 8-7)
5t. Northwestern (15-11, 8-7)
5t. Ohio State (12-12, 8-7)
9. Michigan State (17-8, 7-7)
10. Nebraska (12-14, 7-8)
11. Indiana (17-10, 6-9)
12t. Wisconsin (12-14, 3-11)
12t. Penn State (10-15, 3-11)
14. Illinois (10-16, 2-13)

These are very strange standings, basically because there are 3 pretty bad teams and 6 teams that are so-so in conference play. As a result, at least in theory RU could finish as high as 1stin the conference and as low as 9th. But 2 wins in the last four games guarantees a top-4 finish, and if one of those wins is over Michigan, it guarantees a top-3 finish.

Other RU opponents

#5 Notre Dame 95 #9 North Carolina State 72 – Irish take ½ game lead in ACC
#9 Oregon State 50 #3 Oregon 48 8:42 4th - might not be a big upset, but would be Ducks’ 1st P12 loss

Also – MEAC plus one SEC game

Bethune-Cookman 68 Savannah State 47 – 4 in a row for the Wildcats
South Carolina State 61 Florida A&M 48 – 17-0 1st quarter according to ESPN

Update:

Oregon State 67 Oregon 62 - Ionescu travel call with about 5 seconds left sealed the upset

Also, Kara Lawson was doing color, which is interesting because she's been doing color for the Washington Wizards. I guess she wanted something to do during the NBA All Star break.

Edit to add: Andy Landers, where did you get that sport coat?

Kara's been doing select games for ESPN WBB, which is refreshing since she's one of the best.

LOL I thought the same thing!

Lawson has done a number of women's games during the season; mostly the really big ones, and often with Rebecca Lobo as a trio. Definitely not as many as she used to do.

The jacked (sport coat) of interest was worn by Wes Moore of NC State. Pink doesn't even describe it. Well, actually, it does.
