Conference tournaments really got going today, and Greensboro was upset city

Big Ten

Minnesota 82 Purdue 78 - Boilermaker comeback failed
Nebraska 86 Illinois 71 - Romeo led the Huskers with 26
Michigan State 69 Michigan 49 - what little chance Spartans had for NCAAs is gone*

*Uh, I meant "Wolverines," not "Spartans."

Plus, of course, RU 63 Indiana 52

Other RU opponents

#15 North Carolina 84 Georgia Tech 64 - Mavunga with 23 and 16 for the Heels
St. Joseph's 71 George Mason 43 - Hawks get Dayton next
Arkansas 72 Mississippi 61 - Charlie Creme has Razorbacks in contention for an at large

Other ranked teams

#12 Kentucky 67 Vanderbilt 61 - Vandy led by 1 at the half
#17 Chattanooga 78 North Carolina Greensboro 44 - not exactly a shock
#18 Texas A&M 57 Auburn 47 - probably closer than it should have been
Wake Forest 85 #22 Syracuse 79 - pretty embarrassing for the Orange

Also

Virginia Tech 51 Pittsburgh 45 - probably the biggest upset of the day; Pitt probably still good for an at large bid
Missouri State 65 Indiana State 56 - both teams shot 33%, but Missouri State had a lot more free throws

Today:

Other RU opponents 3-0

Year to date:

Big Ten 115-40
Other RU opponents 143-157

There has been one palindromic score in 75 games completed so far today. That makes 38 palindromic scores in 5,148 games this year.

I'm not sure that you meant to write this, unless of course, you flunked the course on our new conference mates' mascots, LOL.

Actually, a win today could put the Spartans into the NCAA picture.

So, this is at least twice that I have written "Spartans" when I meant "Wolverines." Apparently I did flunk that course.
