8 ranked teams playing; one significant (if not entirely surprising) upset

B1G

#15 Maryland 79 Miami 71 - closer than I would have guessed
Georgetown 55 Northwestern 54 - kind of a surprise
New Mexico 97 Illinois 68 - Illini led after 1st quarter, then more or less collapsed
Minnesota 79 UNLV 72 - not as close as it looks
Purdue 61 Marist 47 - 18 and 7 for Hand to lead the Boilermakers

Other RU opponents

Hofstra 69 Wake Forest 66
#6 Notre Dame 92 #3 South Carolina 85 - 1st loss for Gamecocks
Western Michigan 87 East Tennessee State 79 - Broncos mostly trailed until 4th quarter
Duquesne 74 Virginia 63 - I'd call that a surprise, and the Cavs were at home to boot
Seton Hall 73 Jacksonville State 54 - comfortable most of the way
Fairleigh Dickinson 72 Longwood 52 - Knights now 5-1

Other ranked teams

#13 Florida State 87 Samford 62 - Seminoles 6-0
#16 Duke 79 Presbyterian 45 - actually closer than I would have guessed
#17 South Florida 68 St. John's 59 - 25 for Jesperson to pace the Bulls
#19 Texas A&M 90 Texas Tech 56 - still feels like this should be a B12 matchup
#22 Kentucky 69 Marshall 39 - the Thundering Herd got trampled

Also

Boston University 61 Boston College 57 - throw away the records when these two play
Richmond 54 Old Dominion 45 - Monarchs are bad
Navy 86 St. Bonaventure 48 - Midshipmen are 6-0
Cleveland State 54 Louisiana 45 - only one reason to mention this game

Please give the Lobas their due. Physical game. UNM rained threes (18 of 33 overall) and forced a lot of turnovers.

More than willing to give them credit, but Illinois is a bit of an enigma at this point. They dug into the lower divisions to hire a hall of fame level coach - who obviously can't be judged this quickly. But - inconsistent to say the least, and knowing nothing about them, have no idea what's up.
