This year, we will be running a complementary offense, which seeks to minimize turnovers by mostly running the ball. Think Boston College game last year, where we wore down BC. We’re going to try to replicate that 6 times.

The first couple of years, he’s been protected, because we’ve been afraid of injury.

This year is the first time, his running will be fully unleashed, and it will add an extra dimension to our offense, because teams will be so afraid of his running, that it will open up passing opportunities. He will get at least 5-10 Carries a game.

As long as he completes at least 50% of his passing attempts, that will be good enough.
Michael Vick completed 54% in his first year and 57% of his passes in his second year in leading his team to success. But all we’re asking Gavin to be, is the best that he is capable of being.

The model is the Michigan State Game where he completed 20 of 34 passes for 236 yards and two TDs, and carried 5 times for 25 yards.

So we’re not asking him to do, what he hasn’t already done. He just needs to replicate his Michigan State performance at least 6 times.

This strategy should work against:

- Northwestern
- Temple
- VT
- Wagner
- MSU
- Indiana

It may not be as successful against everyone else, but who cares. Get at least 6 W’s and we’ve accomplished what we needed to.
