I listened to O'Leary being interviewed on Sirius today, I think the interviewers were Jack Arute & Butch Davis.

O'Leary said one of the things they measure everyday in practice is players 'Loafing' (as in being lazy). He said many kids are fast, like 4.5, but always practice like they are 4.8-5. Said those kids lose games for you.
He said he looks closely at his kids tackling both in practice, scrimmages and games. He takes close note of the back leg of the tackler. Said if the back leg is NOT going forward , the tackler is taking the easy way out and not going ful tilt. He again said something like if a 4.5 kid tackles and plays like he's really 4.8 or 5,, he'll play another kid who gives a better effort even if the kid isn't as talented.
He also said they took seats out of the 50 yard line area, And UCF is putting in a 'BEACH CLUB' and selling them as Premium Seats, lol. He doesn't know how it will work out, but will give it a try .
He said UCF has the largest student enrollment in D1, over 50K. Has over 170, 000 alums in a 2 hr radius, and spending a lot on improving facilites.
He got promoted to AD as well this year. He said the first thing he did was give the Head Coach a raise, lol.
