That season tickets will be mailed in two days. When that big envelope is in the mailbox, it is like Christmas. How can any of us ever get upset about anything that brings so much joy?

One month from today it starts. Time to get the tailgating equipment out.

Sweet....I admit that as I age I enjoy watching a home game with a few friends on tv (been a season ticket holder with my brother for decades, seats are great - 38 yard line, 24th row) because of the time going to a game takes. I happily give my brother my ticket, he takes his girlfriend. My buddy (an RU grad) feels the same way, was on staff at the University of Iowa, would walk to several games with a colleague each year, then told me it was more fun getting stuff done, catching the entire game on tv, and not being wiped out. I'm not putting down being at the game, I was at the Louisville game, will go to OSU if they bring the band (so I can boo them off the field, personal reasons).

I understand. I was 40 in 1994 when I purchased season tickets and at the time we still lived in NJ. For the past 17 years, it is 150 miles each way and many times I go and come back the same day which just wipes us out on Sunday. Still, I go to most games except the rain-outs because I just enjoy the whole game-day experience. But it is true that the older you get, the more appealing watching the game on TV becomes.
