Grant's second punt return TD

Great cuts, speed, acceleration etc. Kid could juke you in a phone booth.

"Jacobs missing that sure int was a bad omen."

I wonder how things might have turned out if he had just swatted it out of bounds. That one play might have been enough to make the difference.

He should have made the pick, but it was worse that the WSU player made the reception and kept moving down the field.

As a Pats fan, it reminded me of the play where Asante Samuel missed the Int in the Super Bowl vs. the Giants. Two plays later came the Tyree catch. Have to put the game away when you have the opportunity.

Either intercept it or bat it down. He kind of tapped it into the air like it was a volleyball.

I think there was a madden or ncaa video game where the commentators would say something to the effect of, "that's why he's on defense".

As soon as that happened , I turned to guy next to me and said " I've seen this movie before and it doesn't end well for us" .

Grant is the only punt returner in this program in many years that hasn't had all of the instincts and aggressiveness coached out of him.

Int not needed simply breaking up the play would have sufficed of course a 4th and 10 is much better than 4th and 5

On the whole it was a great game - very much a heartbreaking loss because of how we lost - Grant was absolutely electrifying and amazing. The issue is our offense only put up 21 points against a bad Washington State D that could not stop our run game - that is very scary to me moving forward.

I haven't been back here in awhile, but some of you may remember me posting congrats to you guys when Janarion committed to Rutgers. He's from my home town, I've known he and his family forever. I've thought since he was in HS that he was one of the best returners I'd ever seen (I'm an FSU grad, and told friends when he was a junior in HS that he was better than anyone we had returning kicks for the Noles). I really wanted us to offer him, even if he never did anything but return kicks. But I'm also glad to see he's developing into a solid WR, too.

Tough, tough loss yesterday. Good luck the rest of the year & hope to see more appearances from Janarion on the highlight reels.

Thanks
Hope he continues to shine, and eventually gets paid on Sunday's (but not until we have him for 4 years!)
