Greg and Christy got their house back?

Guess so, but what’s the big deal about the house in Piscataway? Why’re they living in a hotel? There are plenty of houses they can buy and configure pretty easily.
My guess, convenience and familiarity. Pretty easy to get back into a routine once you've been established at that place before.

"PISCATAWAY – You can see the SHI Stadium lights from the driveway of 38 Logan Lane. The 8,000-square foot house was custom-built for Greg Schiano in 2007 — four years before the Rutgers football coach left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom colonial, situated on a dead-end street, features a heated swimming pool, wrap-around porch and home theater. It took nearly three years for Schiano to sell it, and he ended up slashing a million bucks off the initial $2.3 million asking price...."

I spoke with Greg specifically about this. . He told me the old house is in the mix, though it’s been dinged. And the roof has a leg that might keep it out for a few weeks. Unfortunately there is also a rocket currently residing in the dog house out back so the family pup will be staying inside.

i hope he gets it back soon so he can make another video of the team having a party @ his house... 'member?... that was f123ing kewl as hell!!!!!

this from RUfromSoCal probably gives the best reason:
>"they built the house to their specs... it's perfect for a HFC and his wife to host players............."<

(my thoughts)
They might have real fond memories of that house and think going back there, if possible, would be better than fixing up another place to be like it.

I read in an interview of the owner that the electrical needs fixing and upgrading

So nice to have a coach whos all in. The house is legitimately walking distance from the stadium. Rather than 30 mins each way like a former coach.

allows greg to more or less be home within minutes once hes done working

A house built in 2007 shouldn't need new wiring. Only thing it could be is to get the latest gizmo's and gadget's wired. Hell my house was built in 1980 and about the only damn thing he did correct was use the correct wiring and it doesn't need upgrading.

That house was custom made to be the Rutgers coach’a house. Not only is it crazy nice and fitting of a P5 head coach’s salary, it’s perfect for holding team events and functions. I’m sure there are built in features (ie, film rooms, underground warp tunnel to the hale center) that make it even more suited. Plus it’s close, GS never has to sleep in his office.

When he was at New England he must
Have stepped in shi...Because he is so
Lucky being back at his house, so now
He is able to go across the street
And step in SHI (stadium).

I think that was just the guy trying to milk more money out of the Schiano's. A house built in 2007 shouldn't need new wiring. Only thing it could be is to get the latest gizmo's and gadget's wired. what? The seller pointing out flaws allows him to ask for more money? It doesn’t work that way, but forget that... I have a property for sale, it needs a new roof so you’re gonna have to pay up, interested? :Laughing

Glad for him and his family. He works 24/7. Needs to be close to his crib.

Wow are some people misinfirmed or have no idea as to the house's location It is not a walk across the street to the Hale Center but a 3 minute drive. People seem to think the house's location is where the president's house is adjacent to the practice fields...no. But the house is close enough to fulfill an important purpose and to be close to the players for meetings or personal events.

Why all of this s discussion with little exact facts etc.

What??
No, it's not where the president's house is, but it's just on the other side of 18 on Logan Lane. No reason why GS would walk instead of drive to the stadium, but it's certainly "walking distance".

she is in her Junior year of High School at Columbus Academy in Ohio. Graduates in 2021.
Well I got the word junior right, any
Credit for that.
Some times i feel sorry for kids of coaches. I know what it's like. I was born in Newark from birth to 1st grade
North Bergen to 6th, Staten Island 7th
Grade, Florida 8th grade, Fords 9th,
Woodbridge 10th. Five schools in
Five years.

Figure if allowed to cut through the Metlar-Bodine Museum property (cuts distance to less than a mile), figure at worst a 20 minute walk or a 6 min bike ride. Golf cart even less.

Do you think they'll keep the home in Columbus until she graduates?

good question. I had actually thought she was a senior until I looked it up. Moving for your last year of HS has got to suck, big time. the school does not seem to be a boarding school so either they keep the house for a year or she's moving for her senior year.
