At his post game conference yesterday, and in each of the news conferences for the past three years, Greg has talked extensively about the “culture” that is the backbone of the program. Yesterday, he added that he is optimistic about the future because about 50 of the young players on the team had already played in games. With the transfer portal opening up within the next week or so, we will have an opportune chance to see whether “culture” has been bought into by these players and transcends winning and learning. My guess is that the younger players want something more than the snake oil Greg is offering. Also, my guess is that the more talented older players, who have known nothing but losing for the past three years, will also test the waters.

I think the larger problem is Rutgers itself
Its in a football state with good recruits, but the best ones have long preferred playing somewhere else
Most of the good teams have good NJ players.
PSU and OSU are a few hours away and make RU look like B1G JV.
100k fans in crazed stdiums at 100% comitted football schools?
RU not even remotely on the verge of that.
The whole university would have to be on the same page - programs change when coach, AD and admins are on same page
Fickell supposed to be getting 6m a year at Wisconsin
Any coach worth 6m coming to RU?
Probably not imo because any coach who can get that can get multiple offers and RU wouldn't be "in the mix."
Maybe if Belichick ever decides to coach college

I am thinking the same things, these players will have people in their ear. It’s all about winning and if you aren’t winning people aren’t going to buy into the culture
