Yeah, I want my classmates' kids to do well, because they're my classmates' kids. And if they're not my classmates, they're just fellow alumni, and I want their kids to do well.
Stop taking this so personally, or -- at least -- try acting with a little more perspective and empathy, and with a little less petulance.
Cousins? No. Nieces and nephews? No. Friends? No. Sons and daughters. Yeah, definitely.
