I don't know if he has additional offers. I also have no idea why DeVito picked up more offers. Maybe he is still open to them? Maybe Lewis has shut down other programs saying he is 100% RU? None of us knows.
Why would you minimize the Georgia offer and the Iowa offer with faint, backhanded praise? Those are historically strong P5 schools and those are offers that Lewis should be proud of.
Notice, I do not feel the need to minimize DeVito, who is a fine quarterback who I hope would have a successful career, to make myself feel better about our recruit.
I dont hide behind my opinions, I dont think Lewis is all that great, but I know you guys think he's the next JT Barrett. Thats why you see the backhanded praise. I hope Im wrong and he has a great career at Rutgers
Hey Money, how do you like Babers as coach? I'm not here to knock the Cuse. I just really want to know what you think of him from a fans perspective. I only caught a couple their games this year.
Really think he is a articulate guy. He has a clear plan and he is very precise. The results are not there yet but I believe in him because he's has evidence that it worked before. It doesnt mean he will be successful but I truly believe he will be. We have a young team. Dungey is a stud but he has missed the last 2 games. His future is in jeopardy. If Babers have success, Its up to SU administration whether they will pay him enough to stay once bigger schools come in. Im fine with that. SU Football is not a selector school. It is in basketball and other sports

I wouldn't be surprised if Hayek and Duggan get bumped to 3 stars at some point. Seemed like they were both having big seasons.
I never doubted his offense. He proved himself there for sure. The Cuse needs a defense badly to be competitive again. That's where we will see if he is a complete coach. I hope for your sake he can.
Lewis to Barret is a really bad comparison. They're more different than alike IMO.

Can you be more wishy-washy? I gaurantee you the class will finish between 30-70.
Thing is this is a really weak recruiting class if you take out all the 4-star and 3-star prospects. :cool2:

Devito vaulted to being the top qb senior in the state after his performance in the elite qb. Contest and solid high school career.... as we know he is the traditional drop back qb that most programs go with
I would think that we would have had an excellent shot at getting him if Ash came in and kept a standard offense.... as it is, we have a top 20 option qb that will need work on passing touch
We went for a system qb with a bigger payoff, if he develops as we hope..... it is nice to have a qb that is a weapon with both the run and pass.
I would hope that all fans here try to remember their earlier predictions about rank, and compare it to where we finish....

I was thinking the same thing...sometimes posters don't even know what they are typing, it seems. It was only a few posts befor he asked when did he compare them when he did...unless we have two different Cuse trolls named money posting on here
I said people wants him to be the next barret. I know Rutgers scheme is based from Ohio st. Im talking production, command in the offense and wins. Im not talking throwing and running style. lol
Show me the post where I compared the two styles. I said Rutgers want Lewis to be the next JT Barrett. Again in terms of running the scheme productively and winning games. Tell me one Rutgers fan that wouldn't want the same production JT has given OSU.

If Devito's offers from any of those schools is committable Cuse is in trouble. Anybody who has had any dealings with the dad knows he's all about prestige and he's had this kid training for these offers since middle school. Heard PSU was sniffing around as well

I assume you are intelligent enough to know comparing a HS QB to JT Barret is foolish. There's no comparison. No big deal though.

At least it appears that Ash is a decent recruiter and has a vision. schiano was good like that and a good number of his good recruits would up playing for four years and into the NFL...

Rivals - 3.0, 33rd overall, 7th in B1G
247 - 32nd(looks like predicted finish 36th); 7th in B1G
Scout - 2.94, 31st overall, 7th in B1G
