Gus and Bill on the call tonight

Fox (employer of Gus n Raf) has a large ownership stake in BTN. BTN is run like a FOX sports network and is resourced like FOX network (cameras, production, graphics, etc) BTN is basically borrowing the 'A' squad for tonights primetime games.

agree...I guess these guys are on BTN because CBS has the semis and finals but not a fan of Gus style at all....wish it was Kevin Harlan
So you don't like Gus because he's too excitable and over the top in describing the action, but then in the next breath say you wish it was Kevin Harlan? LOL He might be the King of Hyperbole.

And yes I know Bilas is a bit of a douche canoe... but his prep work is second to none. He knows his sh#t and he knows the players in any game he's calling 'cause he did his homework.

I agree about Bilas and his preparation (it's top notch), but he often gets lost in his pontifications on topics not directly about the game you are trying to watch. It's my biggest beef when blue bloods are at the mic, it's almost like they are above the game they are working.

Other than that bad call on Baker they have been very good tonight. Hopefully the second half is reffed the same way.

Haas cleared out a couple of times and on one Pike went crazy because they called foul on RU.

Hearing Gus exclaim, "Rutgers for the lead!: Doesn't get any better.

Like I said when we got the B10 invite--we're good forever. Seasons may be up and down but we no longer have USF UMass and other second tier peers. We are in the bigs forever.

Just thinking about what the excitement of the call would have been like tonight if we had scraped through.

Your boy Quagmire...er I mean Raftery is on the call at the game I'm covering this afternoon: Cincinnati vs Memphis.

He's four seats to my left and one row in front of me. Fortunately I can't hear a word he is saying.
