Are the 3-4 people that contacted the OP employees of the Star Ledger?....do they even still have that many employees?
But Nuts, do you really want the same sh!tshow as 2013? It would be out there w/i 6 hours because nothing is a secret at RU. People would be running to the NSL at the first hint.
Why people are so willing to throw everything away to get what they want is beyond me. Do you really want a lame duck HC and staff with 8 games remaining? Good bye any chance of winning games and good bye recruiting class.
Let him finish the season, then do whatever is necessary.
I keep getting contacted by guys who swear they've heard that Flood is done, Wilson will finish out the season, and Rutgers will begin looking for a new head coach. Some of these guys are busters and could be full of crap. But several others aren't....and they are usually on the money with this stuff. Not sure what to believe.
That's happening regardless. But their agents can still be contacted and their potential interest could be determined.
I hope you are being sarcastic...Can we bring Pernetti back to hire the new coach? He was good at that sort of thing.:grimace:
Strong won't be firedI don't know what will happen with Flood, I suspect he's done.
But you should have a lot of choices of coaches because there will be a lot of turnover at the end of the season,
possibly before. Golden, Strong, London to name a few.

The timing of this investigation, seems to correspond with everything else going on. I was wondering why it takes a team of lawyers to evaluate policy, and how that policy is being enforced. The answer is simple, it doesn't! They will come back within a week, and say that the policy has not been enforced, as it should be. And, blame Flood. Then you will see the firing of Flood. Soon(hopefully) followed by the announcement of a new Head Coach. The administration, needs reason to fire and not pay Flood, money is still an issue. This "investigation" will give them the necessary ammo needed. IMHO
If you fire him he's not a "lame duck."
Everything is speculation. But honestly I hope he's gone. I'd like to put this behind us and get a headstart on our uphill battle for redemption.
I've heard Flood is done a hundred times already.
Nuts, Sounds like people love to annoy you. Is this 4 new people or the same 4 people?I have at least 3-4 people, daily, bring up the fact that our HC is a f*cking idiot for the nonsense he attempted to pull with e-mailgate.
Yes but he isn't his only client. I can assure you if he has a client who wants to coach at RU he would reach out on his behalf. Richt would have many suitors to choose fromYou'd probably have to make a mid-season change to contact agents as Flood's own agent, Jimmy Sexton, has been dubbed the most powerful in college sports. Chances are that Sexton also represents potential RU targets. Plus, RU leaks more than a 100 year-old roof that's been hit by a bomb, too.
Personally, I want Mark Richt if UGA lets him go.

Bro, how many years of declining recruiting, guys leaving the program, losing to teams we should beat, sticking with a failing QB because "he's our starter," flagging defensive play, week after week of unexplainable implosions, and the bar being lower every year than it was the year before is it going to take before it's enough? Please, my man, we should have beaten PSU last year. Last year's game was a gift to them, and the one thing that made them bowl eligible. This year we should have beaten them like a rented mule and got housed, humiliated, by a coach that so much as put his junk in our mouths when he said Rutgers and Md. can't compete and he will own our states. Losing to him two years in a row is enough to fire Kyle. He can't recruit, he can't coach, he can't beat Penn State. Check and mate. The only thing he should be fired for is the product on the field . End of story

Not to call you out, man, just venting and I hope that you agree

Really? Have R Felonious Secondary all posted bail yet, or are they still singing to the cops on a daily basis?
Any other stories will be easier to weather if they are about Former Coach Flood.
Whatever happens, I know one thing is near certain: the Rutgers Admin will find a way to bungle the firing, search, and hiring processes.
I'm not a lawyer but either are many agents. I doubt anywhere in Sexton's contract it states he can't work on behalf of his other clients.Ethically, however, Sexton would have to let KF know that RU is making inquiries about replacing him. At least that's how I would read the Rules (assuming Sexton has a law license), but I'm not a certified agent so I can only guess how these things are handled.

Flood will be back next year coaching Rutgers unless we win less than 4 games so cry me river...just like many attempted to castrate Leonte Carroo on this board
the same clowns think they are in the know because some "friends" said so......they know diddly squat about what's going to happen...the ONLY way we make a change is if we win LESS than 4 games ...and even then it's highly doubtful.
It doesnt matter. The guys we want are all still coaching (sans Schiano) and will be until December.
Does he have a choice? If I'm Kyle Flood, I just keep choppin'. Let the chips fall where they may.
It seems like a distinct possibility. I think it's hard to underestimate how bad he made the football program and the athletic department look with his antics. It's another case where the cover up is worse than the crime, but the cover up was bad news. You can't trust a coach who does something like that.
The guy can't beat a team with a winning record, gets blown out 3 or 4 times per year, recruits worse than his predecessor despite many more advantages and just got caught flagrantly violating various rules and there are still people that don't want to see him gone yesterday?
Barchi must believe we're making a NEw years bowl gameFlood will be back for IU. I doubt he'll be back for next year.
