Better than Willis Reed like (old timers know).
The magic boot? Begs the ? of should he have been in it sooner. But damn. Welcome back!

true dat. But he really didn't look too great recently either. Non-factor to monster in days.My guess is people don't actually know what is happening and maybe he wasn't truly "out" overnight.
This and likely some gamesmanship from the RU staff for ILL scouting. My guess is people don't actually know what is happening and maybe he wasn't truly "out" overnight.

I can relate. I broke/sprained both my ankles playing ball in high school and couldn't play my last two years. I missed years he missed games. Pretty remarkable. He spoke a little bit about it in the post game. Think it’s really a function of swelling which can be variable.
not when out is for the regular season or long period of time but I think you knew that.Doesn't every injury go from "out" to "in" overnight?
But him being unavailable for a long period of time was based only on speculation.not when out is for the regular season or long period of time but I think you knew that.

And I truly believe he is probably only 75% healthy at most; just watch the Alabama game he is still lacking that burst but OMG how great was it to have him back last night!!!true dat. But he really didn't look too great recently either. Non-factor to monster in days.
True but when you saw the injury, then the MSU and UM games, then he goes into the boot it did make some sense.. I mean he was just in a boot right? But him being unavailable for a long period of time was based only on speculation.
But isn't that true of all threads? If people didn't speculate there'd be virtually no threads and each thread would only have a few posts by professionals in the field. I don't think we have many doctors or coaches on here, so at that point, might as well just shut the whole thing down.Fact of the matter is almost everything posted here is pure speculation with little real info And by the way those who really know something generally should keep keep their mouths shut.
Hopefully not, with proper preventative treatment from the training staff.I’m sure that ankle is swollen like a balloon again this morning and he’ll need every hour between now and the MD game just to get back to a place where he can hope to play again. And the rest of the season likely will be something like that.
You're basically agreeing with me. And I'm not saying shut down anything -- I'm saying don't believe what you read here or what the pseudo experts say.But isn't that true of all threads? The fact that he even attempted to play against MSU shows that the injury was not that severe. As for the boot, it is not like he was in a cast up to his hip.True but when you saw the injury, then the MSU and UM games, then he goes into the boot it did make some sense.. Reminds me of the EO dislocated knee cap recovery. I'm 66. Give some of that stuff.
I've always took this as entertainment with people stating their opinions, not as a meeting of Mensa on World topics that directly impact others. You're basically agreeing with me. And I'm not saying shut down anything -- I'm saying don't believe what you read here or what the pseudo experts say.
people with broken ankles don't have a cast up to the hip .. ok, so you were the one fan not shocked to see him play and play so well. Let me know tomorrow's numbers when you get a chance . TIA. 😀The fact that he even attempted to play against MSU shows that the injury was not that severe. As for the boot, it is not like he was in a cast up to his hip.
I was surprised how well and long he played last night, just that I do not think it was a Lazarus like feat.people with broken ankles don't have a cast up to the hip .. ok, so you were the one fan not shocked to see him play and play so well. Cook gym, February 1976 - same scenario except only a cast to the knee.Yeah that would be me. August 4, 1993 at the relative new Busch gym - went up for a rebound, came down on a guy's foot, broke my ankle, and a few hours later I wanted to cry as the doctor kept on wrapping the cast all the way up my left leg. Stayed there for 1.5 months. 🥲
I see this mostly in the NFL, but it’s not uncommon for a player that’s out with a foot or ankle injury to watch the game in a boot regardless of the severity. Basically taking every precaution to limit the chance of a set back.people with broken ankles don't have a cast up to the hip .. ok, so you were the one fan not shocked to see him play and play so well.
