I honestly don't believe there is another coach in major college football (or junior college fb) that would not have inserted the backup qb in the game in a meaningful situation with the chance to create at least a spark, and possibly a different direction.
What is even more astounding is that we are not dealing with an established productive player who is not producing. Even the established player should be sat for a few. We are dealing with a player who has never had success. Why the leash needs to be season long with a player never successful is beyond comprehension.
Again, the rb's are chewing up yards. If there was even a shred of a threat at qb we would be successful. Maybe it wouldn't be better. I think it would but it's irrelevant. You try something different. Please don't talk about the meaningless games of Army and an interim led Maryland.
Flood went all in with his ridiculous season preordained plan. He was allowed to do that. He should however be responsible for his misjudgment. And shame on him for wasting the year for so many players, especially in their last year.
