What else were you expecting him to say?
Possibly? You are too kind.Rutgers basketball is possibly the worst in any power conference by far..
I hear this guy Flood is available. Nice guy. Cares about academics. Already on payroll.
I want RU to get Kevin Boyle.
Of course Danny will be one of the leading candidates: a well known name in NJ HS coaching circles, his father will be supportive of Rutgers MBB and talk of the program, m,any RU fans are infatuated with him making him a popular choice and a fairly good HC record at Wagner and RI.Hurley will be a leading candidate, some of you get over your hate
Why would anyone leave a P5 team to come here? Why is everybody naming coaches from mid-majors? Why not get someone with power conference experience?
Somehow, I get the feeling with Hobbs that coaches with big conference experience may be important to him.
Tom Cluess from Iona is the man. Supposedly wanted to look around a year ago but Iona wouldn't release from buyout. Won at LIU before Iona and has 5 consecutive 20 win seasons at Iona including back to back 25 win seasons. Only coach that could really slow down Monmouth this year lol
What scares me is Hobbs reaching out to a HS HC without any college coaching experience .
I really don't know if he would be able to make the jump to the college level at a program like RU and be successful in making it a respectable program without one bit of college coaching experience.
This right hereI'm not going to make the assumption that Hobbs reached out to Boyle, for the HC position, based on what one guy is telling us he got from a source.
No train wreck at all. One bad year after averaging nearly 23 wins a year for four years. Still hasnt been as good.
Well look at the opposite we took a PRO coach and he was a total failure. can it be worse then what we have in EJ.What scares me is Hobbs reaching out to a HS HC without any college coaching experience .
I really don't know if he would be able to make the jump to the college level at a program like RU and be successful in making it a respectable program without one bit of college coaching experience.
Huh? The comment was that Danny Hurley inherited a train wreck and has done a wonderful coaching job at Rhode Island. I said there was no train wreck. The prior coach had one bad year. The four prior years the prior coach had records of 21-12, 23-11, 26-10 and 20-14. Danny Hurley did not inherit a train wreck. Nor has he approached his predecessor's success.
Apology accepted.
