Just watched the scoring drive. TD run by the dual threat QB.....hmmmm
I'm sure the following people or group of people are watching this game.
1. All the current Rutgers QB's
2. Russo
3. The current Rutgers RB's and WR's
4. All the targeted offensive recruits, Harmon, Gray, Dubois......even those Jersey recruits committed elsewhere.

the thing is. FSU players are more talented in my eyes. they are just being schematically outplayed. Houston players are playing well bcoz they are well positioned. i like what i see.
No, but I think Gio gets the nod as QB. I'll say it again, if Mehringer runs this same Houston offense, Russo is not the guy. I think something will happen in January, just my gut.
Houston's offense looks well coached. The QB injury certainly is affecting FSU's offense - they would've had a long TD pass late in the 2nd if it was not badly underthrown. This game shows the downside of the bowl pick'ems because I picked FSU but would rather see Houston win.
interesting. off the kick off return, the Houston special teamer just wrapped up a returner, with a rugby style tackle.

supposedly Pete Carroll advocated it and got started. Ash is a big proponent and convinced Meyer to adopt it. so not many do it but the number is growing.
in a nutshell, the tackler target the torso more than the upper body, which reduces helmet to helmet collision.
Houston has looked very good so far...Maguire has looked bad to terrible. It's both Houston's D and his play. He looks like Nova did vs Houston on Homecoming 2013, just chucking up stupid throws into double and triple coverage.
