Sunday will be a madhouse, especially if we get off to a decent start and if it's close at the end (which it probably will be). Can't wait.
have to agree, a noon start would have been better considering the Giants are playing at 4:30.What a stupid start time for this game. 2:15 on a Sunday going up against the NFL playoffs? Just idiotic scheduling by the B1G that will hurt the atmosphere at the RAC and drastically reduce the number of eyeballs watching on TV. Honestly I know several pretty big RU basketball fans who will almost certainly be watching football instead.

I get we have no say but why not noon? Up against Giants first play off game in years. Tone deaf B1G.have to agree, a noon start would have been better considering the Giants are playing at 4:30.
But to answer the OP's question, very loud and I hope the crowd gives the officials the business all game
It will be fine. The people who will make it a priority to be there will be good and loud.
True. 2:15 sucks for Giants kick-off, but most fans in the Central NJ area will be good for that. It's the folks that are coming to the game from an hour away or so.I predict a lot of Eagles/Rutgers fans in attendance.
We have a bye week after all :)
I think it's all about their national TV partner and how our games fit with that and the NFL. I guess they wanted to feature another match-up at 12 noon. I haven't checked the schedule so I don't know what it is.I get we have no say but why not noon? Up against Giants first play off game in years. Tone deaf B1G.
I would have been fine with noon or 2:15. First NFL game will probably be brutal anyway. Giants vs. Vikings should be good and I'll see most of it. But I recognize that many people don't live as close to the RAC as I do.Northwestern at Michigan is noon
Maryland at Iowa is 4:30PM
I would take 2:15PM given those other choices
Now that sounds like an excellent idea. How far into the game before a RU fan yells “Shoot it!” to an OSU player standing out of bounds with the ball?
I guess they think RU will lead into Giants game which makes sense just hard for RU fans going to the game.I think it's all about their national TV partner and how our games fit with that and the NFL. Do you actually expect college hoops to not schedule games on Sundays and presumably Mondays and Thursdays because of pro football? What about Saturdays in Nov/Dec when there's college football? And maybe not on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when big NBA and NHL games are on? That leaves Fridays, although I think there are often big WWW and UFC matches on Fridays. Looks like we're going to have all our games on weekday mornings then. By the way, I'm pretty sure the RAC will still be full. What a stupid start time for this game. 2:15 on a Sunday going up against the NFL playoffs? EDIT: For those mentioning the Giants at 4:30, there is also a Bills-Dolphins game at 1. Could have just as easily been the Giants. Scheduling college basketball games on a Sunday against the NFL PLAYOFFS is completely moronic. All of this weekend's games could easily have been played on Saturday before 4:30. It also annoyed me that the RU-Iowa game was on a Sunday against the last day of the NFL season but this is even worse. Play on freaking Saturday!
That’s not the issue at all. They are three B1G games on Sunday. I think the fact that RU is overlapping with the Giants is the concern. Didn’t have to. Could have been in the 12:00 slot. Just wonder why Michigan v Northwestern at 12. Maybe better audience for RU v Ohio State? Thankful it wasn’t the late game. Nobody suggesting not schedule games. While I generally agree that playing on Saturday would be better than Sunday, for this game I don't. Dorms reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, so we should have more student section presence than we would have if the game were played the prior day. What a stupid start time for this game. 2:15 on a Sunday going up against the NFL playoffs? I love the 2:15 pm slot, as it allows me to catch the Arsenal-ManU match at 11:30 am. That's sarcasm, like my previous post. I don't really care about NFL football and I'm guessing the B1G schedulers don't really either. I would never let other sports infringe on my watching RU games, but that's me.That’s not the issue at all. They are three B1G games on Sunday. Believe a large contingent of football recruits will be at the game.
Yup. We can pack everyone we want in there and want to be as loud as possible, but if the other team starts raining threes like last Sunday, all bets are off. It's huge for us to get off to a good start Sunday, unlike the Iowa game where the crowd didn't really have much to cheer about until their late run.
Yep, was looking ahead, lol, but then again, it was sarcasm, as there is no other sporting event that would even come close to keeping me from an RU hoops or football game, because I'm simply a much better fan than folks who worry about other sporting events. That's also sarcasm.Arsenal vs Spurs
That will arrive 30 minutes late!Believe a large contingent of football recruits will be at the game.
Of course….Believe a large contingent of football recruits will be at the game.
We have a winner!! Fantastic atmosphere and, as expected, not an empty seat in the house, with almost everyone in their seats at tip-off, even including the football recruits. What a friggin' great day to be an RU fan!Very?
I noticed that too. Maybe it was because they were on a losing streak, but I think in general, our fans have just bought more season and single game tickets. It’s a beautiful thing!Very loud and very few tOSU fans in attendance

Still too many Indiana fans, although 1 is too manyWe have been shutting the NJ/NYC BIG10 alumni (or front runners) out from the RAC all year.
Opposing teams fans aren’t anywhere what they used to be - great to see.
