How many more years does Pike get a pass with no tournament?

Yeah we didn’t play the end of that game all that well either (we actually DID foul intentionally, when we were in the 1 in 1, which I did not like). We couldn’t foul on the last play bc we were only up 2. Not sure about timeouts but I don’t think using one there would’ve been good even if we had one.

No, there were some rumors like that but it was pretty clear they did not

Coaching disaster and he has never done it again or prior to that game. It’s not luck. Ohio state should never had an opportunity for the shot ( that was out of bounds).

People say this but I don’t think I’ve ever seen teams unable to get a shot up in 6 seconds, we forced the guy out of bounds, I don’t know how you can say that was bad defense

Sorry Floux I was talking about the previous play when Pike fouled intentionally up 3 and made it a free throw contest extending the game. (Pikes teams always bad FT shooting). We missed they made and that’s why OSU was in position to win that game.

Pike prior to that game has never implemented that strategy in his entire coaching career. Has not done it since either btw. Panicked

We were the number #1 3 point defense that year . Just defend straight up and we win that game and OSU never gets a shot to win.

They never practice it because Pike never uses it and it was a disaster from the beginning. That game was not luck or on the refs. Pike screwed up big and that’s why we lost. Simple

Oh yeah I agree with you there that was not a good strategy esp since we were not in the double bonus

It was still on the refs though because we still won the game with correct officiating

Pike isn’t going anywhere anytime soon unless he decides to hang it up. I don’t see that right now but things can change quickly.

Just wondering, if he does make a tourney in the next 2 years, does that buy him enough until the end of his contract?? Thinking with it being Rutgers and all that they could sign him to another contract, anything is possible.
